NC Challenge

Starting Altador Cup IV, TNT began to hold NC Challenges. They are similar to previous game-based NC Challenges, you need to buy a ticket at the NC Mall. With this ticket you could compete in various challenges during the Altador Cup. When successfully completed all the challenges and you received an exclusive bonus Neocash item prize.

Altador Cup V

Tickets
As previously mentioned, you needed to obtain special challenge tickets fom the NC Mall. Tickets were available in the NC Mall starting May 26, 2010. The Altador Cup V NC Challenge Game Ticket was sold for 1,800 NC.

To take part, you had to buy (or be gifted) one NC challenge ticket from the Altador Cup Shop in the NC mall. You only needed one ticket for the entire NC Challenge this year. Once you bought a ticket, you activated it in your inventory. Once activated, you could visit the Altador Cup NC Challenge main page.

For this year's NC Challenge, you were given a specific game task that could have been any of the four Altador Cup games: Yooyuball, Slushie Slinger, Shootout Showndown, or Make Some Noise. Each week for five weeks, a new challenge was issued. When completed that week's challenges and you advanced to the next achievement level. You couldn't move ahead until you've completed the achievement level. There were also be bonus challenges available for additional NC item prizes. The bonus challenges didn't not need to be completed before moving on to the next achievement.

When the NC challenge was over, the tickets couldn't be used anymore, but you can still show them off in galleries, etc. Tickets can't be used for any future NC challenges.

Final prizes
The following medals were awarded. You only got one medal for the highest level you completed. If you didn't get any further than Substitute, you got the Altador Cup V Substitute Badge. Did you however became MVP, you got the Altador Cup V MVP Medal.

The Challenge will begin on May 26, 2010, at 12:01:00 A.M. Neopian Standard Time (NST) and end on July 4, 2010, at 11:59:59 P.M. NST. Neopian Standard Time is the same as U.S. Pacific Daylight Time (GMT -7:00).

How does the Altador Cup NC Challenge work?
To get started, head to the NC Mall to purchase your Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket. There is only one Game Ticket available. This Game Ticket will allow you to participate in all five achievements and the game challenges within them. In order to play, after purchasing the Game Ticket, activate it by clicking on the ticket in your Inventory and then selecting "Activate Your Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket" from the drop-down menu. Once your ticket has been activated, go to the Altador Cup NC Challenge page and begin the first game challenge. All game challenges must be completed in each level in order to move on to the next achievement level.

Where do I get a Game Ticket for the Altador Cup NC Challenge?
Game Tickets can be purchased from the NC Mall Altador Cup Shop. Only one Game Ticket is needed to participate in the entire Altador Cup NC Challenge. You may also receive Game Tickets as gifts from other Neopets users.

How many Game Tickets can I purchase?
You can purchase as many Game Tickets as you like, but only one Game Ticket is needed to complete the entire challenge. If you have extra Game Tickets that have not been activated in your Inventory, you can gift them to other users (using NC Gift Boxes) or place them in your Gallery or Safety Deposit Box, but you won't be able to use them to play the NC Challenge again.

There is only one Game Ticket available. How many do I need to participate in the Altador Cup NC Challenge?
You will only need one Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket. This Game Ticket will allow you to participate in the entire Altador Cup NC Challenge. If you have extra Game Tickets that have not been activated in your Inventory, you can gift them to other users (using NC Gift Boxes) or place them in your Gallery or Safety Deposit Box, but you won't be able to use them to play the NC Challenge again.

Does the Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket expire? Can I keep them after the Altador Cup NC Challenge is over?
Game Tickets purchased in 2010 will only be valid for game play during this year's Altador Cup NC Challenge, which begins on May 26, 2010, at 12:01:00 A.M. NST and ends on July 4, 2010, at 11:59:59 P.M. NST. You're welcome to keep Game Tickets that have not been activated in your Inventory, Gallery, or Safety Deposit Box after that date, if you'd like.

Is it OK to give Game Tickets to other users?
Yes, you may give Game Tickets that have not been activated to other users as gifts using NC Gift Boxes (one ticket per NC Gift Box). Once a ticket has been activated, it can no longer be gifted. Game Tickets, as with all Neocash items, cannot be sold or traded.

Do I have to be logged in to my Neopets account to participate in the Altador Cup NC Challenge?
Yes, you must be logged in to take part in the Altador Cup NC Challenge.

Do I have to be on an Altador Cup team to participate in the Altador Cup NC Challenge?
No, but you might be asked to join a team as one of the game challenges. Once you have joined a team, the points you earn while playing the Altador Cup NC Challenge will count toward your team total.

Everything is greyed out on the NC Challenge page, even though I have a Game Ticket. Is there something wrong?
No, it simply means your Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket has not been activated yet. Please go to your Inventory, click on the Game Ticket, and select "Activate Your Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket" from the drop-down menu in the item pop-up. Once you have activated your ticket, you will be able to begin the first game challenge.

Do I have to play the game challenges in any special order?
No, game challenges within an achievement level can be completed in any order. However, all game challenges within each achievement level must be completed before you can move on to the next achievement level.

I started playing a game challenge but haven't been able to earn the required score to complete it. Can I try a different game challenge?
Yes, you can play as many game challenges as you like in a single achievement level at once. However, you will not be able to move on to the next achievement level until all game challenges in your current level are complete.

Can I play a game challenge more than once?
Yes, once you have initiated a game challenge, you may play that game as many times as you'd like, though you can only send your score to earn Neopoints five times a day during the Altador Cup event. You can also only receive an NC item prize for completing the challenge once.

I haven't been able to get the required score for one of the game challenges I am playing. Can I keep trying? Do I have to get the score necessary in one game play in order to qualify?
Yes, you can keep trying to meet the score requirements for a game challenge, though you can only send your score to earn Neopoints five times in a day during the Altador Cup event. You may play the game challenge as many times as necessary to earn the required score, but you must complete all four game challenges to move on to the next achievement level.

There are bonus challenges on some of the achievement levels. Do I need to complete the bonus in order to move on to the next achievement level?
No, you don't. The bonus challenge is just an optional extra prize opportunity, and if you can complete it, you will receive a Neocash item prize.

Can I sell and/or trade Altador Cup NC Challenge prizes?
No, all of the Altador Cup NC Challenge prizes are Neocash items, so you may not sell or trade them for Neopoints, Neopoint items, Neocash, or any other currency. However, you may gift them or trade them for other Neocash items using NC Gift Boxes.

The NC Mall is not available in my country. Will I be able to participate in the Altador Cup NC Challenge?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to participate in the Altador Cup NC Challenge. Other users can send you an Altador Cup NC Challenge Game Ticket, but you will not be able to successfully activate it or use it for game play. You may show the tickets off in your Gallery, though!

Why can I not move on to the next achievement level?
In order to move on to the next achievement level in the Altador Cup NC Challenge, you must fully complete the previous achievement level. Be sure to complete all of the game challenges within a single achievement level before attempting to move on to the next one.

I finished the challenge, but my prize is not in my Inventory.
Once a challenge is completed, you must visit the Altador Cup NC Challenge page and claim your prize.
