Slushie Slinger (SLSL)

Slushie Slinger is a game much like the classic 1983 arcade game, Tapper. Help the Tuskaninny waitress serve slushie's to very thirsty (and grumpy) customers and clean up their empty cups when they are done.
Slushie Slinger is in HTML5, and can be played on either the computer or on a mobile device.
How to Play
The goal of the game is to keep your customers happy. Help the Tuskaninny waitress serve as many customers as possible before they reach the end of the counter, as well as cleaning up their empty cups.
Controls
In game, you control the Tuskaninny waitress. Behind the Tuskaninny waitress are three slushie machines with three different flavors inside. In front of the Tuskaninny waitress, there are three counters of different lengths. Customers will wait at the far side of the counter, but the more they wait, they will slowly progress down, awaiting their favored slushie.
Computer
Use the up and down arrow keys to move from counter to counter, or machine to machine. Use the left and right arrow keys to turn the Tuskaninny waitress toward the machines or customers, respectively. Use the space bar to fill a slushie or to send the slushie down a counter towards the waiting customer.
Mobile
To move the Tuskaninny waitress up and down from counter to counter, or machine to machines, you need to swipe up or down with your finger. To move the Tuskaninny waitress between the counters and machines, swipe left or right with your finger. In order to fill up a slushie cup, have your Tuskaninny waitress stand in front of the machine and tap the machine with your finger. To send the slushie down the counter, move your Tuskaninny waitress to the counter of your choice and tap the counter with your finger for the slushie to slide to the customer.
Gameplay
When beginning to play the game, you start at level 1 where only one customer is shown at a time. It is slow-paced. The more customers you help, the higher the level, and the pace of customers needing to be helped becomes faster. To know what level you've reached, you can find it at the top bar of your game. Unlike Yooyuball, you can choose to end the game at any time by clicking End Game on the top, left-hand corner.
When a customer appears, they will show their desired slushie flavor as a thought bubble over their head. If they are not helped right away, each customer will angrily inch across the counter.

Points
For every slushie you give and empty slushie cup you collect, you earn points. The more points you earn, the more challenging the game becomes with more customers and needs.
Every customer has a preferred flavor that you can see in a thought bubble over their head. Matching their slushie preference gives you more points, but you do not have to give them the slushie they are asking for. Customers will drink anything you give them, you just will not get the full amount of points for that drink.

Lives
At the top right-side of the game, there are 5 slushie icons. If you lose them all, the game is over. There are a few different ways you can lose a slushie icon, or life.

| When you send a slushie down a counter, but there's no customer waiting. | |
| If you haven't given a customer their drink, they will progress towards the end of the counter. When the customer reaches the end of the counter, they will turn around upset, forcing you to lose a slushie icon. | |
Strategies
There are several strategies when playing Slushie Slinger.
Slow beginning
Many people dislike how slow the game starts. At level 1, customers appear every 7-10 seconds. We recommend that when you begin, don't feed the customers right away. Instead, give the game a minute for customers to fill the rows (but not too many to give a disadvantage). You can then work on filling orders and catching all the empty cups at once, one row at a time.

Counter length plays a huge role
Be sure to pay attention to the lengths of each counter. The top row is the shortest, which means the customers and their empty cups will reach the other side of the counter more quicker. If you send a slushie down the second row, then the top, you may have two empty cups coming back at the same time, which will risk dropping one. We recommend working top to bottom, or add pauses before you release a new slushie working from bottom to top. For example, if you had someone in the bottom-most row, and someone appears in the second row, fill the slushie, pause, and then send the slushie.
Later levels, just give them any slushie
At a certain point in the game, the customers will be moving up the counters very quickly and their empty cups will be coming back at fast speeds. There will be a time in the game where matching the customer's exact orders will need to end, and instead, just send them a slushie of any flavor to prevent losing a life. You may not get as many points, but you can extend the game further this way.
Glitch Strategies
Mobile turn around
On mobile, if you have a slushie in-hand facing the machines, it appears your only option is to throw a slushie down the counter. This can cause loss of slushie lives if there is no customer there to catch it. We suggest trying to keep two customers at each counter, and avoid turning around towards a counter that has no customers. Also, try to turn around to a counter with. customer and then move into position to catch a cup. In other words, do not prefill slushies, and just try to keep empty hands when you can. Once the game picks up speed, this no longer becomes an issue.
You get a green, and you get a green! Everyone gets a green!
For some odd reason, all preferred slushies will quickly change to green slushies. Although the slushies will show green, they are coded to want different colors. When customers first enter the game, there is a half second flash of seeing the flavor they truly want before turning green. Unfortunately, you will not know what customer wants which flavor unless you have seen the customer enter and memorize their order before it turned green. This does affect your point score, but as long as the game extends from giving them a slushie, then it does not matter too much.

Unresponsive
At times when you try to make any action, nothing will happen. Unfortunately, we do not have a solution for this glitch, but we do want you to be aware that this does happen.
