Obstacle Course Caper (OCC)

On June 29th, 2026, the Altador Cup introduced a fifth game to the tournament: Obstacle Course Caper. Play as the petpet, Yooyu, and roll past various obstacles while simulatenously trying to capture flags along the way.

How to Play

To play, you must move your Yooyu around various obstacles. For every second that passes, you will earn 10 points. For every Altador Cup Flag captured, you will earn 100 points. Hitting any obstacle will automatically end the game. As your score increases, the obstacle course becomes more challenging.

Controls

Controls vary dependent on the device you are using. If you are using a computer, you must click your mouse before moving it around to guide your Yooyu. If you are using a mobile device, you can use your finger to guide your Yooyu around the obstacles. This game is recommended to play on mobile rather than on a computer.

Large Spiky Ball This obstacle specifically moves side to side or up and down. You can determine its movement by the horizontal or vertical visual of the chain.

Meepit Meepits always seem to be in the way and this Meepit likes to move side to side on the obstacle course.

Power-Up Potions

There are three power-up potions that can be found in the game to help with gameplay. Once you roll over a potion, it will last for only 5 seconds. If you pick up a new potion while within the 5 seconds of another potion, the new potion will overwrite your current effect, and reset the power-up timer.

Shrink Potion Your Yooyu will become smaller, which will be helpful to get around obstacles.
Slow Potion Your Yooyu will slow down its speed.
Double Points Potion For every flag that you collect, you'll be earning double, making it 200 points.

Strategies

There are a few known strategies when playing Obstacle Course Caper to take into consideration.

Avoid computer or laptop play
We highly recommend playing this game on a handheld device (mobile phone or tablet) rather than on the computer or laptop. On a computer or laptop, you need to click to move and movement is limited. On a handheld device, you already need to press the screen to move the Yooyu.

Stylus versus your finger
If using a handheld device, we recommend also using a stylus as we've noticed your finger can get in the way easily, causing you to bump into obstacles.

Focus on the time
It's clear that the placement of some flags can be challenging to get. If it is the case, we recommend skipping the challenging flags and keep yourself in the game. For every second you stay in the game, you earn points. It's best to get flags when you can, but get through obstacles as long as possible.
