Team Interviews
To really get into the Altador Cup spirits we have asked one supporter of each team to do an interview with us. In this interview they were asked several questions about the famous cup. Here you can read the questions and their answers.
Altador Cup VI
Altador
Interviewed Person: lesleyc2 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I am on Team Altador. I originally joined them because they were the home team. I have stayed with them ever since because of the wonderful people.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Our biggest strength is our people. We have a group of wonderful people who all play hard and support each other. No matter the results, we know everyone did their best.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Our size is our biggest weakness. We are not completely sure whether we are just a small team or if we have a lot of not very active players, but either way it makes it hard for us to compete with the large teams with strong players.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I would like to know what all goes into determining which team wins. Some days it seems like we have done really good, only to find that it was not enough.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
We have seen a lot of nice players from all teams who have stopped by to visit with us.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
This is my 5th AC with Altador. The people there are wonderful and I prefer to stick with my team.
Which team do you think will win?
This year it is hard to tell which team will win. The top tier keeps changing daily.
How are you showing support for your team?
I show my support with my signature and with my pets.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game is Slushie Slinger. I am currently Rank 9.
Brightvale
Interviewed Person: waileenrider550What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I am on Brightvale. The only reason I joined Brightvale is because of the wonderful people in the team. We're a pretty small team, so it's pretty easy to remember everyone's names. Plus, we all get along pretty well. (:
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Definitely working together. Until the beginning of the second round, we didn't really work as a team. Instead, we all played the games we felt like, which often lead to loses. Now that we've begun playing together with the same goal in mind, we're continually causing upsets and winning more games.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Since we're a small team, we can't really spread ourselves out and gather large scores in all 4 games.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
It's definitely been an interesting season so far. The standings are still shifting every day and it keeps me on my toes. I love looking at the results every day since there's always a surprise.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I like KD and SK. KD since they just seem super nice. Plus, they're all hardworking. SK because I was with them 2 years ago and I still pop into Shenkuu Scoreboard every now and then. =)
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
This is my 3rd year with Brightvale (AC II, V, and now). I joined MD for AC III and SK for AC IV. (I played on Bulldozed for AC V btw.)
Which team do you think will win?
I'm personally rooting for KD to win. They've been the most consistent and they've been in the top 4.. two times already? They need to win. =P
How are you showing support for your team?
I try to play 75+ games of YYB every day.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
Yooyuball. I'm actually fond of the new version now. It's more fun and challenging. (: I am an all-star.
Darigan Citadel
Interviewed Person: dariganeyWhat team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
This is my 4th year on Darigan Citadel. The reason I picked DC was because it's full of dedicated and strong players. I think most people tend to misinterpret the whole team's image, deep down it's full of amazing people that make you laugh, smile, and work hard for one goal as a team which is to win the cup.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
We are strong in everything. DC has had a long history of strong YYB players as well as consistently each year showing strength in Make Some Noise. DC has had amazing all-stars and it's these people that make the team so strong and successful each year.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
We have no weaknesses. We can accomplish anything we want if we put our minds into it. No team is better or worse than the other. It's all about the teams mentality and work ethics.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
Surprisingly yes. I do think this year is much more unpredictable than last year. Due to the fact that smaller teams are taking out bigger powerhouses shows that there is no break in this years cup. A small team winning the cup this year might be better for the good to disperse more fans to their teams and level out the numbers of each players on each team.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I applaud teams like Tyrania and Virtupets as stepping up and challenging these powerhouses. They have really gone far as to proving that smaller teams do stand a better chance.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I have been part of the Altador Cup for 4 years now. All years I have joined Darigan Citadel. I will never abandon my team. My loyalty and effort belongs to them.
Which team do you think will win?
Darigan Citadel (period)
How are you showing support for your team?
I have a branch called the DC Minions. They are the most dedicated players and most kind people you could meet. We all work hard each day and motivate one another. Be it through marathons and activities, I love helping my team as much as possible and the people on my team make it worthwhile to come back each year. A special shout out to the DC Minions, I love you guys.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
Due to the new version of YYB, I can't say it's my favorite game anymore. I've grown a bigger liking to Make Some Noise. If you carefully look at the faces in the crowd a bit, they can make you chuckle :). Currently I'm rank 9.
Faerieland
Interviewed Person: jacksongirl_2What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I'm on team Faerieland because I've played on that team every year since AC II. The members of the team are very nice and I really like helping out my team.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Our team has certain goals for every day, we play as much as we can (some members even max out in YYB or SOSD quite often), we never give up and we have great teamwork. Also, we have only been swept once this year by Terror Mountain.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
We tend to chat too much during the games and some players don't work as hard as all the others do.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I'm satisfied with almost everything. I only wish TNT would give us an option in YYB to play with a mouse or with the keyboard. I'm used to playing with a mouse. Of course, practice makes perfect, so maybe a little more time playing the game might help me get used to it.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I think there are less bashers than last year, which is good. I haven't seen so many rude players either. Different players from other teams have come to our FLUFF board and wished us good luck or taken some time to chat with us and eat some muffins. ^_^
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I have always been with Faerieland and I've participated since AC II. Including this year, that means five years.
Which team do you think will win?
I'm really surprised that Virtupets and Meridell are doing well. I never would've expected Lost Desert to drop so low. I think that the winner could be someone from the top four: Krawk Island, Meridell, Virtupets or Kreludor. Personally, I've been rooting for Kreludor since AC IV, so I hope they win this year. ^^
How are you showing support for your team?
By playing as much as I can and doing our team's daily goals.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game will always be YYB and my current rank is sadly rank 5. I wasn't able to play a lot during the first round robin, but I really hope that I can reach All-Star this year again. I just need to max out in YYB a couple of times. ^_^
Haunted Woods
Interviewed Person: cyber1ofkakoradesert What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I'm on the Haunted woods team, my reason for being is to stop their downward slide and break their 5 year old winners curse, I'll do it with them kicking and screaming if I have too.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
My teams strengths are consistancy, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
My teams weakness is Size on Zo and Fanettis's part and speed and intelligence on Brains part, but we're working around it.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
It's been a good year so far, DC and the Rooligans have been tough teams, the matches are intense, I feel bad for the Desert though. The winners curse is being its cruelest to them.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
Well, Shenkuu and Krawk Island are doing very well this time around, Moltara is even doing well, but they'll have to try a little harder.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I've mostly been on the Lost Desert team until now. In ACI given the option to support either DC or HW, I jumped to DC, after my team was knocked out of the standings.
Which team do you think will win?
Honestly I think it's a good toss up between Kreludor and Virtupets, but If I had to wager a guess, I'd say Kreludor.
How are you showing support for your team?
I've put up banners and the likes in my look up and my shop and play multiple games a day.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game is Yooyuball, so very fun. So far my rank is 18, rounding on 19.
Kiko Lake
Interviewed Person: garnetcutie What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
Kiko Lake, because their small and cute, you can have that chance to talk to other people who are on the team since the fan base is smaller than others.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Focus, and are dedication in every match, win or lose.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Our size and that the fan base isn't the biggest for support.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
Altador Cup is always really fun to play and I love the anticipation for the results, they are always so shocking especially with this year's.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
The other teams are focused for sure, they take all their games serious, which I respect, and play every game with their heart into it.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
This is my second year playing in the AC with Kiko Lake and I'm sticking with Kiko Lake no matter what!
Which team do you think will win?
With the looks of right now 1st and 2nd place will be Virtupets and Kreludor (both have a chance at first) and I think Krawk Island will follow through right behind them in 3rd.
How are you showing support for your team?
Putting "GO KIKO LAKE!" in my shop and having my siggy as "Kiko Supporter" and conversing with other people who are supporting Kiko Lake.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game would have to be Shootout Showdown but of course Yooyuball is right behind and my current rank is Level 5!
Krawk Island
Interviewed Person: teensjustlivin What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I'm on team Krawk Island. I have been with them since AC III, and you know what they say: "Once a Pirate, Always a Pirate!"
What do you think are your team's strengths?
My team has many strengths, one obvious one is our YYB record, which is currently the highest out of any other team this year. We are also very organized and focused.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
We've had a little trouble with side games, especially with SlSl, but we are also greatly improving. Another weakness may be that we sometimes get easily distracted...either with board drama or site events, such as the current auctions TNT have put up in light of the recent hit of one trillion page views on Neopets...but we manage to pull through even so. ;D
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
AC VI seems different than years past. This may be the first year that a team wins the cup for a second time! It took a while to warm up to the new YYB, but I'm really starting to like it. The power-ups keep things interesting and I like that TNT recently released team smilies for us to use on the boards. Things are definitely improving for the better!
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
Do I have any thoughts about the other teams? Yes, I have to say that Virtupets has proven that a small team can go far in a tournament like this, and if we lose to them, I would be proud to lose to such a fierce team!
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I joined Mystery Island in AC II, but only because a quiz I took on here suggested it and I didn't really understand the Altador Cup yet, as I didn't really play that year. So I don't count that year. Basically, I've actively participated in the AC for four years (counting this year) and with the same team: Krawk Island!
Which team do you think will win?
Krawk Island...er, I may be a little biased, but I really do think we will win.
How are you showing support for your team?
I show support for my team by playing the games, posting my scores, encouraging fellow teammates and sharing tips I've picked up along the way. Basically, I just try to help keep the peace and look on the bright side if we get results that are not in our favor.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACV Rank?
My favorite game is YYB! And currently I am rank 13, but I plan to be All-Star before the end of it...as I have reached All-Star every year since AC IV (the year we won the cup for the first time!) =D
Kreludor
Interviewed Person: water_ocean_4 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
KRELUDOR! *waves banner* I joined them because their fierce, smart with their plays, and an overall great team. I mean hey, they train in the outer space of Neopia! Instead of Yooyuballs, they have rocks (which are a lot sharper and scarier when thrown at you) and sometimes they have to deal with the loss of gravity. Plus, even though he's a bad guy, Sloth has trained them to be pretty strong, and I'm sure they use strategy in their plays.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Our team's strengths are speed, ball handling, and control. Our offense is at its best, with Zenor Kevix and Qlydare Wegg scoring some monster points. Defense is strong, not letting the ball slip past into their territory. Derlyn Fonnet and Coco Metrone are doing fabulous. Meanwhile, out goalie, Jurin T., as super fast hands to keep the goal safely guarded. All in all, Kreludor plays like a team and that's the most important thing.Size, but that can be a strength and a weakness.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
We're really short, which can sometimes hurt us because the other teams can catch up to us. Another thing is that we sometimes lose at games like Slushie Slinger, because we focus on YYB mostly. But we'll make up for that.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
This year is going to be a tough one, because teams are rising. For example, Darigan Citardel is hoping to be the first team ever to win the AC twice, as well as teams like Krawk Island and Roo Island. Also, teams such as Virtupets and Meridell are making their mark. This year, nothing will be easy.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
The competition is not easy. Not easy at all. Each team we've faces has come back stronger, and they never give up. As I mentioned before, certain teams are giving it all they've got and won't give us any elbow room. But with the help of our offense, the strong defense, and the invincible goalie we won't back down.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I've been with the Lost Desert for a little while, and they've been really great. But I decided to change things around a bit, and picked Kreludor this year. And I'm not sad at all! Kreludor has been an outstanding team. I've been at the AC for about two years, but I haven't really had a chance to fully participate until this year. Now, I'm ready to play hard for my team and help them find their way to victory!
Which team do you think will win?
Kreludor, most definitely. They're tough, strong, and play like a team. We'll take home the cup for sure. *points finger at Kreludor face paint*
How are you showing support for your team?
I've been around the AC boars, posting encouraging comments on the Kreludor topics. Also, I've had a Kreludor userlookup up for quite a while, showing off my team spirit. But the most important thing, is that I'm playing hard for my team, and getting them good scores. That's how I'm really giving them support.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite has to be YYB, as I'm not the best at the others. (WOO YYB!) But I do try at all of them, and to me none of them are bad games. And even with the new controls my game is at it's best. No changes can fail me! What's that? AC Rank? Well... at the moment I'm only a Level 1... but I'm going to keep playing!
Lost Desert
Interviewed Person: lieke2006 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I'm a Lost Desert supporter! I joined that team because I like the place itself.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
I think it's mostly Vonde Cayle and Derbi Azar who help the team to the top, without them, the team wouldn't stand a chance.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
That's a hard one.. I personally think it's the fact that the Lost Desert didn't really train when they got the chance this year. Also, they can't seem to control the Darigan Yooyu very well. Or is it just the 'Winner's Curse'? We'll never know...
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
Well, the fact that the game-play changed didn't really bother me. Now, you really experience the action on the field.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
Well, I must say the other teams are strong opponents. Team Moltara is also doing very well this year. They'll make it to the top. It's just because their country is a little 'unpopular' between the citizen of Neopia.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I've joined Team Faerieland once, I think that was in year III. Then, I had a long break and I started playing again in year V. I joined Lost Desert then, and they won! I really like that team, but I think I'll like Team Krawk Island too. The Quiz 'What team should you join?' also says I will like that team. I don't know yet, but I think I'm going to support the Pirates next year.
Which team do you think will win?
I guess that would be Team Virtupets, they really deserve it. Their performance is just awesome! And.. Maybe Sloth will have a small 'talk' with the judges... So, I'm praying for their lives.
How are you showing support for your team?
I'm mostly helping my team out with Shootout Showdown and Yooyuball itself. They are also my favorite games of the AC.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
Gnegne, I've already answered the first question. My favorite games are Shootout Showdown and Yooyuball. But if I have to choose, It'd be Yooyuball. My current Rank is 6, I'm trying to get at least 5000 points in total to (hopefully) win a Desert Paintbrush n_n On the field, I mostly score with Vonde Cayle in a 2 to 2 position. I first thought Vonde Cayle was a female, I'm sorry Vonde!
Maraqua
Interviewed Person: tealadiWhat team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I've been part of Maraqua now for the past 5 cups, and the team is just amazing. The encouragement and camaraderie I get is phenomenal! It's almost like being part of a family!
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Our biggest and best strength is our friendliness. We encourage each other and the other teams as well!
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Our weakness is our tendency to be distracted. what we do at the beginning of the cup dwindles by about halfway through. We are fish after all.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I wish the YYB and the acheivements hadn't been changed, but that being said. there are a lot of surprises this year! I'm eager to see who wins!
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
Although we in Maraqua have a friendly rivalry with some of the other teams and there are some boards, I love chatting on Kreludor. It is disappointing that some people have taken to cutting down some of the teams needlessly.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
This is my 6th AC and I've been a maraquan every year. We just keep getting better and better!
Which team do you think will win?
Uh Maraqua?!
How are you showing support for your team?
My active pet is dressed to the nines for our Maraquan team, and I've even taken the liberty to dye my hair Blue and Green to show my Support!
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
Shootout Showdown has to be my favorite this year, it's fast and many people have maxed out playing it! As for rank, well, my current rank is a mere 5, but there's still a lot of play left in the cup, GO MARAQUA!
Meridell
Interviewed Person: mid_night989 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I am on Team Meridell (also known as Team Awesome!) I joined them back in ACI because I love medieval history, and the whole knight thing was really cool. Plus, Meridell has potatoes. How can you not love a team that has potatoes? =o I've come back to Meridell every year since because of the people, they're definitely my second family and are some of the most amazing people I've ever had the privilege of meeting. And for the potatoes. Mainly the potatoes... XD
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Meridell's biggest strength is definitely how much of a family our team is. We're a great support system for each other, pushing and encouraging everyone to do their best and even better, and it's definitely been paying off for us so far, especially in slushie slinger!
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
When we don't do very well, we get discouraged, and sometimes continue to not do so well. And our goalie doesn't have any hands... I'm still trying to figure out how Yoris stops all the goals that he does!
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I miss the old yooyuball. But if I see another board of someone complaining about the new yyb, I'm going to scream! It's been really nice seeing how all the different teams have reacted to this huge change though, and it's nice to see that the side games actually have an impact on how your team does this year! (Yay for slushie slinger!)
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I really wish all the other teams could tie for second place, after Meridell of course. I tend not to hang out at other team boards too much, but I have friends on a lot of the other teams, and I wish them all nothing but the best!
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I joined Meridell in the first Altador Cup, and have been with them ever since. Though during the first AC, I played for Roo Island and the Haunted Woods after Meridell was knocked out.
Which team do you think will win?
At this point in the game, I really have no clue. I've never been too good at making predictions, and with the top 9 being so close, it's still really anyone's game. I would love it if Meridell won though, and I really think we have a good shot at it this year if we can just keep playing hard.
How are you showing support for your team?
A better question is how am I NOT showing support for Meridell? All of my pets are decked out in everything Meridellian I could get my hands on, my lookup is all about Meridell, my gallery is all about Meridell, my guild is all about Meridell, and of course my font is as Meridellian as you can get, especially now that we have those awesome Altador Cup team smilies! I was going to dye my hair red, blue, and gold this year too, but that would take away too much playing time, so I decided not to. There's always next year though! ;D
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
I love to play yooyuball since it's fast to rank up with, and after that is probably slushie slinger, which I've grown to love this year, along with the rest of my team too, if their consistent chants of "Slushie!" have any say on the matter, at least. As of writing (June 22) I am at rank 12, just short of rank 13. Hopefully I'll be able to get to All-Star by the end of the cup!
Moltara
Interviewed Person: emily_rochefort What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I joined Moltara because I wanted to stay loyal, even though we were last place last year, still I think we should be able to move up a rank.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
When I look at the games everyday to see how our team did, I'd say our strengths are the side games. Or mainly only MSN
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Well despite the fact that we lost almost every Yooyuball game I'd say that there's nothing more to add xD But I'm surprised that we won vs Altador once.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
My thoughts for ACVI is I hope we'll move up a rank, I hope we're not last this time and good prizes at the prize shop.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I'm pretty annoyed by the fact that most of the people join Darigan Citatal just to have a nice trophy, even though they only reach level 1 or lower.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
As mentioned above I joined Moltara last year and this is my 2nd time participating in ACVI.
Which team do you think will win?
Us of course! It doesn't matter what place we'll be, we'll still be winners.
How are you showing support for your team?
I'm showing my support by posting scores in the boards and having a moltara theme as a userlookup as well as joining a Moltara Guild.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
If I'm honest I like MSN because you'll only need 10 seconds to have a minimum score of 3000, and my aim this year is to reach rank 15 or above.
Mystery Island
Interviewed Person: melinda_kacheek What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
Mystery Island and the reason why I joined was because a quiz a few years ago told me to join so I shrugged, thought "Why not?" and did. I remained on the team because it's lots of fun and being part of a smaller team helps you to know each other really well. We're like a small family.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
When focused and dedicated, we're among the dangerous Yooyuball teams in the game. But we don't take ourselves too seriously and realize it's all for fun though some do take this a bit too far.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
We're not a big team so every point counts. If we're having a bad day and can't focus, it's very easy for us to be swept. If more people join and help us, we can easily be a top 5 team at least.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
It's been really, really bad. Many of us are frustrated with the new Yooyuball controls and have given up on playing as a result. And it's hard to be consistent. But we still hope to make the best of what we have.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I always loved Virtupets and am very happy about their success though I am worried about next year if they do win. They're my second favourite team. Mystery Island have some bit of bad blood between usand Maraqua which showed up this year a lot. Lost Desert is another legendary rival and we know we have to beat them to get any chance of getting third tier. I personally don't like Darigan Citadel. I just think they're too serious at times. The only other team I don't like is Brightvale and that's because of their Skeith. Other than that, we're pretty neutral.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
None and I have been a player on my first account for one year and on this account for three years now.
Which team do you think will win?
Virtupets or Krawk Island.
How are you showing support for your team?
By playing! I also bought a lot of Mystery Island items, both NP and NC and showing them off. Also from my lookup you can tell I support Mystery Island. I also hope to make a petpage for us as well.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
Slushie Slinger but I mainly play Yooyuball because it's still the most important and Shootout Showdown because it's very quick and it's our best side game this year.
Roo Island
Interviewed Person: neoschoolerz What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I first joined Roo Island during ACII because of their kindness, fun colors, and their ability to bounce right back after losing a touch match. Now this is my fourth year playing for the Roos, and all the Rooligans I know are still as kind and encouraging as when I first joined! I love it!
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Well, we are pretty decent Yooyuballers if I do say so myself, and we also do well in ShootOut ShowDown, but we try hard in every game! I am constantly impressed with the scores I see on the Rooligans board. Another strength we have is being so encouraging and motivating to our fellow Roos.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
I wish I could say that we didn't have any, but that'd be a lie! We aROOn't very good at Slushie Slinger or Make Some Noise, those are the games we're trying to work on now.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I think this is the most interesting competition yet. Because of the new YooyuBall the teams are much more evenly matched then ever before! It seems like all the teams have gotten so much stronger this year. I've had a lot of fun playing.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
Like I said, all of the teams seem a lot stronger this year! I would like to applaud the hardworking Brightvale for winning YooyuBall against the currently-first-place Virtupets, that was amazing! Also, it seems like there is a lot less bashing and rudeness between teams on the boards this year, which is really nice.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I joined Roo Island in ACII, ACIII, and ACIV. Then during ACV I decided to see if I wanted a little change, so I joined Brightvale. Turns out, though Brightvale is a great team, it just wasn't the team for me, so I went back to the Rooligans for ACVI.
Which team do you think will win?
I wish I could say I thought Roo Island would win, but that it just a little unrealistic right now. There is always next year for us. In all honesty, I think Kreludor will win. They are a great hardworking team who really deserves it!
How are you showing support for your team?
I play hard every day that I can, and if I am too busy to play I will still pop in on the Rooligan boards from time to time and help scorekeep if it's needed. I have all of my pets customized with Roo Island items, and my font, avvie, look-up, and shop keeper have been Roo-ized as well! I also changed my pet's look-ups to Roo Island ones and am currently using a Roo Island shield (both courtesy to the wonderful SunnyNeo of course!)
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game has got to be ShootOut ShowDown, it's easy to play and easy to rank up with. My current rank is Rank 6, but by the end of the day I'll be Rank 7, and by the end of the tournament I'm hoping to become an All-Star!
Shenkuu
Interviewed Person: kl882992 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
Shenkuu, because the people there are very welcoming, and my interests led me to it.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
YYB and SOSD. We also are very good at welcoming and supporting each other.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
SLSL and MSN. Also, sorry ninjas, but we have to start recognizing everyone's dedication and support.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I'm really glad to see some smaller teams are rising up to the challenge of the big boy teams. It makes me grin (:
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I really like the fact that TM have proved themselves. I'm surprised at MQ's standings, considering I thought this AC was their year. I'm still waiting for FL to crush everyone, BWAHAH- Sorry.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
The first year I supported TM. The second time around I supported SK, as well as this year. Overall I have supported three years in a row, and am now a 'veteran' of SK.
Which team do you think will win?
I think either TM or VP will win this year. At the beginning I thought MQ, but not anymore
How are you showing support for your team?
I'm showing support by dressing up two of my neopets a little shenkuu like, and cheering up people that feel down about our standings. I used to be able to play games but due to a virus I sadly cannot.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game is defiantly SOSD. My rank is currently Rank 1 and won't be able to go any higher. (See question 8) I wish luck to all teams and have a happy Altador Cup! (:
Terror Mountain
Interviewed Person: lovinbruce007 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I'm on Terror Mountain! I chose TM because of the friends I've made over the year. I also love mountains, snow, and winter in general, so it seemed like a good fit.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
Our strangths are the side games. TM has an average ranking of 4.33 in the side games, which is the best in the tournament. The dedicated members of Terror Mountain spend a lot of time maintaining good results in these games.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Our biggest weakness is our size. Unlike many powerhouse teams, we are small in number and therefore cannot spread out amongst the games games as easily.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
This year has been crazy! So many teams have been in first, and the standings change daily. I've never seen better upsets. It is not safe to say that any team will stay where they are now. I'm excited to see who will be at the top in the end.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I would love to give my congratulations to all of the underdogs who have upset this year, most notably Moltara for their win over Krawk Island. Altador, Faerieland, Moltara, Kiko Lake, Brightvale, and other underdog teams; I root for you guys every day, except when you're playing TM. I hope to see you all at the top of the standings one day. Virtupets; I love seeing a fellow TWERPS team in first place. Keep up the good work! Tyrannia; the T2 Alliance was a great idea because you are all amazing. Even though you no longer have Elbin, I hope we are allies for many years to come. And to all teams; thank you for the awesome matches this year! I have had fun with all of them.

I have joined Terror Mountain all six years of the Altador Cup, and don't plan on going anywhere until we win it all.
Which team do you think will win?
TM, of course! ^^ There are several teams still in the running, but I think this might be Kreludor's year. If not, Virtupets.
How are you showing support for your team?
I play as much as I can to help contribute to my team's wins. I am also active on the TOTM board and guild.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite game is Shootout Showdown. The game is quick and I can play mindlessly while watching TV or a movie. I am currently Rank 15, but I will reach All-Star by the end of the tournament.
Tyrannia
Interviewed Person: gameboy42690 What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I joined Tyrannia this year. "Spikes" Barmie is just awesome, that's why. A good friend of mine also happens to be a Tyrannia devotee, so he had a bit of influence on my choice, too.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
We're known for our side game strength, that's for sure. Just can't get enough of slingin' those slushies.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Yooyuball seems to be our weakness. That and the fact that we seemed to lose a lot of momentum halfway through the cup, dropping out of the Top 4 and into 7th. Here's hoping we can regain that momentum!
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
Lots of surprises this year! I blame a lot of this on the new Yooyuball throwing everyone's game off. It can be very annoying to play sometimes, but I don't mind it so much anymore.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
I try not to think too much about the other teams. If I do, my brain gets scrambled and I start playing poorly.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
This is my 6th year playing in the cup, but only my 1st year on Tyrannia. In the first cup, I joined Darigan Citadel. Or, at least I meant to join them in the first round, then I ended up on Kreludor instead by some weird accident. I joined DC in the second round once KD was eliminated, and I stuck with the team for the second cup as well. The next two years were spent with Krawk Island. Last year I joined Moltara... That's a weird feeling, going from the 1st place team to the 18th place team. Still, I happen to like Moltara.
Which team do you think will win?
At this rate, I think it'll be either Virtupets or Meridell... more likely the former.
How are you showing support for your team?
Let's see... I customized my pets in Tyrannian outfits near the beginning of the cup, I'm using the Chia Bomber avatar, and I even have plans on getting a Tyrannian Krawk! Oh, and playing the AC games. I do that too sometimes.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
Slushie Slinger. Too bad it takes so long to rank up with that game, otherwise I'd play it more. Yooyuball is kinda cool too despite its, um, dubious makeover. Right now I'm Rank 18, and I'm pretty sure I'll be All-Star by the end of this week.
Virtupets
Interviewed Person: sevoweeks What team are you on, and what was your reason for joining that team?
I'm on Virtupets this year. I was sort of waffling between VP and KD before the start of the Cup, but in the end I decided to go with the smaller, closer-knit team.
What do you think are your team's strengths?
I'd say our biggest strength is our ability to focus when it counts. Being a small team enables us to be better organized, and everyone on ViPz makes his or her best effort to overcome our opponents when the heat is on.
What do you think are your team's weaknesses?
Unfortunately, our size can also be a liability. If we burn ourselves out against someone tough, we're going to have to take a break at some point... However, there aren't enough of us available to cover for those who are resting, and we often end up severely underperforming. Having fewer total people also makes us more susceptible to freeloaders.
Do you have any thoughts on the ACVI?
I have to say it's been pretty exciting! ACVI has been The Year of Upsets, and I expect to see more craziness even as the DRR winds down. The way TNT has handled Yooyuball this year has been somewhat disappointing, but I can't fault them for trying to improve the game.
Do you have any thoughts about the other teams?
The team I am most excited about is Meridell, and I'd love to see them make Tier 1 this year. Many of the historically lower-tier teams, such as Brightvale and Terror Mountain, have also been doing quite well, and I look forward to seeing how they'll improve next year.
What teams have you joined in the past, and how many years have you participated in the AC?
I joined Terror Mountain back in ACII, but I wasn't nearly as active then as I am now. I consider this to be my first real year in the Altador Cup.
Which team do you think will win?
Really, it's impossible to tell. I think VP has a good chance, but as I mentioned earlier, we burn out easily and might not be able to stay at the top of our game through the finals. My second pick would probably be Krawk Island, but anyone in the top 6 could win it at this point.
How are you showing support for your team?
By playing my heart out, of course! I also put together a silly pic for my user lookup, but I'm not sure how much that helps the team.
What is your favourite ACVI Game & your ACVI Rank?
My favorite event is Yooyuball, and I'm at Rank 24.
