Festival of Neggs

In 2011, the Negg Faerie started to host the Festival of Neggs, which began on April 6th and will end on May 5th. There are a few things that you can do during this festival. .

Negg Hunt
Now that Kari has set up her boot, she has a new event to participate in! Al through Neopia, nice decorated plastics Neggs have been hidden and it's up to you players to find them!

Every day, Kari will ask for a different Negg you'll to search for. There are 16 Neggs collect, and four different patterns. This means you can collect four Neggs of each pattern. If you've collected those four Neggs, you'll be able to choose a prize for this. For each Negg pattern, four prizes have been made available, but you can only choose one prize!



You can collect those Neggs on the day they are released or later on, but if you collect them on release day, you'll receive a bonus prize at the end of the hunt.

The Negg Hunt also comes with a community challenge. If all Neopets players manage to find five million toy Neggs before the 5th of May, an extra prize will be awarded to everyone who participated. For the community challenge, you can find around 10 plastic toy negss a day.

Finding a Negg

When searching for a Negg, you might happen to find a plain toy Negg. In that case, you'll get a message show up like this:



This is not the Negg you are looking for. However, by clicking on the 'Return to Kari' button, this Negg will be taken to Kari and add up to the community challenge. The Negg shown here is a blue toy Negg, however, other colours can be found as well:



If you find the Negg you are looking for, the message will look like this:



For this Negg to be counted to the Neggs you've collected, you need to click on 'Return to Kari' as well.

Most likely due to a glitch, people have reported to find Neggs in other area's than the ones they are supposed to look for as well, like finding a Negg in Faerieland while the clue indicated the Negg can be found in the Haunted Woods. If this is the case with a Patterned Negg, this Negg will not add to the Neggs you've found. To make sure you've found the right Negg and it has been added to your Neggs, check your progress on the festival of Neggs page. If you've found the right Negg, it'll look like this:




Prizes

Once you've collected all four of the same pattern of Neggs, you can collect a prize. This will mean that the prizes that were greyed out earlier on, are now visible and clickable. If you click them, you'll get to confirm whether you want to choose the prize or not.



Make sure you choose the prize you want, for you can only choose one of them.

Neggstravaganza Surprise! (NC)

What is the "Neggstravaganza Surprise"?
First launched in March of 2010, Neopets had a NC Mall spring activity called Neggstravaganza Surprise. Buy your ticket and select your Negg(s), and you'll get some fun items!

How do I participate?
Buy tickets at the NC Mall. There are a total of 20 Neggs for this year. You will be able to collect one Negg per day beginning March 23. You can purchase tickets in different amounts. Ticket sales begin March 15, 2010. You may also participate in the Neggstravaganza on side accounts. Unlike the Stocking Stufftacular, you will be able to go back and buy Neggs for days that you've missed.

Now that I have my tickets, what's next?
First, activate your ticket in your inventory. Then return to the Neggstravaganza. Look around in the graphic above the basket for hidden neggs, then click on them. When you've found a negg, it will be numbered. The pop up will ask whether you'd like to keep and place this negg. If you say yes, the faded negg image will show in your basket.
