Lovestruck Arrows - NC Event

Walkthrough

When you first begin the game, you will notice that Story Mode is the only option available. The Arcade Mode, locked below Story Mode, can either be unlocked through a cheat code, or after you've fully completed the story mode.

Story Mode vs. Arcade Mode

Story Mode

The Story Mode is the main event and features some beloved characters. It introduces you to all the Neopian lands and mini games. It eventually opens up Arcade Mode so you can play the mini games in any way you want.

The plot is simple. King Roo hosts a tournament called the Starlight Festival. AAA, Abigail, and Nyx along with her best pal Juni are competing for the Starlight Champion Trophy. The winner is crowned by earning the most festival tokens which they earn by being a pro at mini games. You do not pick a character to play as; rather, you are simply playing along side them.

You go through Neopia one world at a time and play 1-4 games from the land. There will be a minimum score to beat and once you do it will have a green checkbox on it. You cannot play previous lands after moving on, although you can continue to play the games in the same area for a better score even if you fulfilled the minimum reqirements before moving on to the next land. You can play the games in any order in the land you are in. You can pause where you are at and return to the story at any point after any dialogue scene, however you cannot re-start the story on a new save. Instead you can start over from the beginning at any point or play through the story again after completing it.

After you go through the traditional lands you will have the ultimate showdown: the new game Starlight Symphony. It's a lot like Guitar Hero.

In the end, it ends up being a three way tie between our competitors. Better luck next time!

General Tips

  • Hard mode doesnt necessarily mean more points (like in Ultimate Bullseye and Meerca Chase) so you don't need to torture yourself in every game to get the minimum score.
  • While two player mode available in some games Dubloon Disaster is the only one that doesnt count for points in story mode.
  • Otherwise, games are about the same as they are on site.
  • There are instructions and controls listed once you hit "play" which is reccomended to look at since consoles will be different from playing on PC.
  • Because of this, some of the controls can be a little finicky; some of the games that use a stick on console might take some getting used to.

Arcade Mode

Arcade mode is unlocked automatically after completing story. If you are in a hurry or simply don't care about story mode or the achievements there is a cheat code to open it up instantly (which can earn you an achievement).

Right → Left ← Right → Left ← Up ↑ Up ↑ Down ↓ Down ↓

Here you can play all the mini games in any order you want as often as you want, single or co-op if applicable.

In Arcade mode, you can also unlock the secret 27th game, which is Turmac Roll 3D. Yes, another Turmac Roll but this one comes with different graphics which seems to be from the scrapped Metaverse. It will show up as yet another separate game on your scores list. To unlock it, the code is:

Down ↓ Down ↓ Right → Left ← Up ↑ Up ↑ Right → Left ←

And the Story Begins...

The game begins with King Roo introducing the idea of the Starlight Festival and key familiar players joining in on the fun. You will start out in Neopia Central and slowly make your way around Neopia playing various games.

Neopia Central

First stop is Neopia Central where you are shown three different games to play: Usuki Frenzy, Spinnacles, and Jumpin' Gem Heist.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Jumpin' Gem Heist

TARGET SCORE: 15,000

What took longer to reach its targeted score was with Jumpin' Gem Heist where you play a Sandan, a petpet, and launch stones into the baskets to collect valuable gems before they hit the ground.

In Jumpin' Gem Heist, make sure to catch the rock you threw. It will count as being stunned if you do not catch it. We also recommend playing with a friend as the game score will increase faster than if playing on your own.

Spinnacles

TARGET SCORE: 500

In Spinnacles, make sure to keep an eye out on what is next and try to rotate the structure accordingly with spheres to help drop others, and complete the level by clearing all spheres out.

Usuki Frenzy

TARGET SCORE: 500

Usuki Frenzy should look familiar as it is the same layout as the on-site version. The only difference is that it's only a tad bit easier to navigate where you can't really get stuck in too many places.

Meridell

Once all target scores are met from Neopia Central, you'll be led back to the map to find that clouds have cleared the way to show the next land: Meridell.

In Meridell, you are introduced to four different games: Kass Basher, Turmac Roll, Ultimate Bullseye, and Extreme Herder.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Kass Basher

TARGET SCORE: 100

In Kass Basher it is very easy to hit the target score on medium mode. Be sure to notice the flag to see how strong the winds will be when hitting Kass!

Turmac Roll

TARGET SCORE: 250

Unlike the on-site version, Turmac Roll is timed rather than ending the game by losing a life. Keep your eyes on the clock.

Ultimate Bullseye

TARGET SCORE: 2,500

To achieve the targeted score in Ultimate Bullseye, you must hit multiple targets to clear a level. Keep in mind that you have 20 arrows.

Extreme Herder

TARGET SCORE: 50

Extreme Herder is very similar to its on-site version. Keep freezing Balthazar before they come for your petpets. Additionally, be sure to go for petpets with bonus diamonds on them as they will increase your score faster.

Terror Mountain

Next stop will be Terror Mountain where you are shown three different games to play: Snowmuncher, Ice Cream Machine, and Snowball Fight.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Snowmuncher

TARGET SCORE: 250

In Snowmuncher, be sure to watch out for the falling snow blocks as you eat through the snow, and keep your eyes open for the Bloat-B-Gones.

There are a couple of codes that help enhance gameplay for Snowmuncher:

Gain 50% of health back
Up ↑ Down ↓ Right → Left ← Up ↑ Down ↓ Right → Left ←

Multiply your score by 100 (does not apply when sending score)
Left ← Right → Down ↓ Up ↑ Left ← Right → Down ↓ Up ↑

Both codes must be entered during gameplay, and can only be used once per game.

Ice Cream Machine

TARGET SCORE: 500

Just like the on-site version, Ice Cream Machine is so much easier when you make Adee, the Chia, smaller by grabbing the powerup that makes her smaller.

There is a code that can help enhance gameplay for Ice Cream Machine:

Gain an extra life
Down ↓ Up ↑ Right → Left ← Down ↓ Up ↑ Right → Left ←

The code must be entered in between levels, and it can only be done once per game.

Snowball Fight

TARGET SCORE: 200

Aiming in Snowball Fight can be a little tricky. It's really not about the aim, but mostly about when to find the correct timing to press the right button.

Kreludor

Kreludor will then open on the map, where you are shown only one game to play: Moon Rock Rampage.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Moon Rock Rampage

TARGET SCORE: 150

Just like Moon Rock Rampage's on-site version, be mindful of where the enemies are as you push the rocks to make pathways.

Virtupets Space Station

Keeping the space theme, the Virtupets Space Station will be open. Here, you'll play the game, Nova Defender.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Nova Defender

TARGET SCORE: 3,000

In Nova Defender, you try to reach Mechanova to stop his reign of destruction while also playing defense and avoiding enemy fires and landmines. This is a game worth playing in hard mode for the extra points.

Neopia Central (again)

Just when you thought you finished everything in Neopia Central, you're taken back to play three more games: Spellseeker, Meerca Chase, and Meepit Juice Break.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Spellseeker

TARGET SCORE: 3,500

There are different tiles that you can select in Spellseeker when building chains: symbols or numbers. We highly recommend numbers and it is easier to visually see and play.

Meerca Chase

TARGET SCORE: 200

The controller mechanics when playing Meerca Chase is that it uses buttons, and not the analog stick.

Meepit Juice Break

TARGET SCORE: 300

Dependent on your televisions or console's contrast and brightness, it can be a little difficult knowing what you are rotating in Meepit Juice Break. Be sure to really look at what piece you are hovering over as you move across the board.

Krawk Island

Time to walk the plank as you venture towards Krawk Island where you play the classic game: Dubloon Disaster.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Dubloon Disaster

TARGET SCORE: 50

Playing Dubloon Disaster will take a lot of getting used to as the analog stick makes moving around challenging.

Lost Desert

Next land to visit will be the Lost Desert where two games are available to play: Sutek's Tomb and Pyramids.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Sutek's Tomb

TARGET SCORE: 300

Just like the on-site version of Sutek's Tomb, the more you continously match symbols in a row, the bigger your score.

There are a couple of codes that help enhance gameplay for Sutek's Tomb:

Show any available moves
Up ↑ Down ↓ Left ← Right → Up ↑ Down ↓ Left ← Right →

Add 30 seconds to the clock
Right → Left ← Up ↑ Down ↓ Right → Left ← Up ↑ Down ↓

Both codes must be entered during gameplay. While the first code has unlimited use, the second code can only be used once per game.

Pyramids

TARGET SCORE: 100

You may need to play a couple games of Pyramids before you are able to beat it. You must clear all the cards on the board by selecting cards in sequence that is ranked higher or lower than the current card.

Faerieland

Right next door from the Lost Desert is Faerieland, your next landmark to play the classic game, Faerie Bubbles.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Faerie Bubbles

TARGET SCORE: 250

Using an analog stick to line up a faerie bubble correctly has been proven to be a mechanic challenge. The cannon can sometimes snap back to the default position, so be sure to double check the cannon before sending the bubble onto the board.

There are a series of codes that help enhance gameplay for Faerie Bubbles:

Turn all bubbles into one random type
Left ← Right → Down ↓ Up ↑ Left ← Right → Down ↓ Up ↑

Turn the bubble cannon into a rainbow bubble
Right → Left ← Up ↑ Down ↓ Right → Left ← Up ↑ Down ↓

Turn the bubble cannon into a nova bubble
Right → Left ← Right → Left ← Up ↑ Up ↑ Down ↓ Down ↓

Reset the bar to go back to the top of the screen
Up ↑ Down ↓ Left ← Right → Up ↑ Down ↓ Left ← Right →

All codes must be entered during gameplay to work. All codes can be used once per game.

-->

Tyrannia

Cross the waters and end up at Tyrannia where you'll play the game, Destruct-o-Match.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Destruct-o-Match

TARGET SCORE: 250

In Destruct-o-Match, be mindful of the upper blocks as you eliminate blocks from below. You can strategically eliminate lower blocks while still lining up upper blocks, getting larger point bonuses.

Tyrannia

Your next destination will be Mystery Island. Here, you'll play two games: Hasee Bounce and Gadgadsgame.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Hasee Bounce

TARGET SCORE: 50

Much like the on-site version of Hasee Bounce, you are able to get extra seconds when grabbing letters and extra points for grabbing coloured doughnutfruits. Remember that when your Hasee jumps that it will be a second off from when they fall from when they jump up when getting letters or doughtnutfruit.

Gadgadsgame

TARGET SCORE: 50

The joy stick controls both the speed and rotation, which means mistakes can occur more often than not. Be sure about your joy stick placement as you play Gadgadsgame.

Maraqua

Hold your breath as you enter Maraqua next. Here, you will play the game, Jubble Bubble.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Jubble Bubble

TARGET SCORE: 150

In Jubble Bubble, you may need to blow the bubble less than you think to prevent overshooting the JubJub.

Shenkuu

Hold your breath as you enter Maraqua next. Here, you will play the game, Jubble Bubble.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Kou-Jong

TARGET SCORE: 50

Not to be confused with Mahjong, Kou-Jong is all amount matching tiles that are the same. You can only clear tiles that have a free side (not in between other tiles). Unlike the on-site version that needed a code for a hint, hints are available in-game.

Jelly World

Just when you finished the map, Jelly World appears. Wait, what, but that doesn't exist? Well, somehow you end up there and play the game, Bouncy Supreme.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Bouncy Supreme

TARGET SCORE: 500

The joy stick can make lining up the jump a little tricky in Bouncy Supreme. Try to picture arcs and angles the best you can as you progress through the game.

Starlight Stage

You did it! You officially finished the map. Now it is time for the final showdown at the Starlight Stage which places itself at the waters near Maraqua. Here, you will play the brand new game, Starlight Symphony.

Tips, Tricks & Hints

Here are some strategies that we recommend to help reach the targeted score:

Starlight Symphony

TARGET SCORE: 10,000

Starlight Symphony is very similar to Guitar Hero. We've noticed that the beat does not quite line up with the action of pressing each note and can get confusing. We highly recommend turning the volume down or off to help with keeping your own rhythm to the game.
