Available Premium Perks
When you become a Premium member, there are various perks, or benefits, that will enhance game play. Some perks are time-sensitive while others increase the chances of earning more on a daily basis. Below are a list of perks in detail. All perks disappear once your premium membership expires or is cancelled.
No Advertisements
Advertisements are usually found in the header, footers and sometimes embedded within pages of the site. As a Premium Subscriber, all advertisements are blocked and cannot be seen. This can be extremely helpful with loading pages around Neopia and when playing games.
Annual Species Change
Once a year, Premium Subscribers are given a chance to change any one of their pets to any species. When you change a pet into another species, its colour will be the same as before. If a colour is not available when changing into a specific species, you are then given the four basic colour types to choose from: blue, green, red and yellow.
On March 26, 2025, all Premium Subscribers were given a refresh of their annual species change perk to have the opportunity to change their pet into the new Neopet, Varwolf.
Avatar
Once you subscribe, you are given the Premium Space Faerie avatar to use on the NeoBoards. If you choose to cancel your subscription, the avatar will disappear and will not be available to use. This avatar does not count towards the number of collected avatars.
Premium Space Faerie
This avatar is available to all Neopets Premium members.
Before the big changes in premium, it was only available to those who had successfully referred 4 people to sign up and pay for premium through the referral system.
This avatar shows up as a default avatar once you get it, and does not count towards your secret avatar count.

Cosmic Dome in the Battledome
Only available to Premium Subscribers is a special dome called the Cosmic Dome. The dome consists of two permanent challengers, Giant Space Fungus and Jetsam Ace, along with revolving challengers. Challenging opponents in the Cosmic Dome gives out its own set of prizes.

Boons
Every two weeks there is a skirmish battle at the Battleground of the Obelisk. Users on the winning team get an avatar, a site theme, and a choice to pick a boon (only if they won 10 or more battles). Boons are special site perks that can be used for one full week. Premium subscribers on the winning team get to pick a second boon, which is one out of the two special premium boons: Full Pockets and Premium Dreamium. What it does: This boon will increase the amount of NP awarded from your Space Faerie Scratchcards. If you win an item from your scratchcard instead, you will also be awarded an additional prize of 1,000 NP. If you have more than one unscratched card, it will apply to all of them. |
Premium Dreamium | You feel drawn to the Games Room, determined to leave richer than you arrived.
What it does: With this boon you will be able to send one extra game score in the Premium Featured Game. So instead of being able to send 3 scores you will be able to send 4. During Games Galore, you will also get one extra score (for a total of 6 scores). |
Collectible Items
Starting in January 2013 (Y15), TNT began awarding monthly premium neocash collectible items to Premium Subscribers. On the 15th of each month, each Premium Subscriber will get a neomail from TNT alerting them that their collectible has been given. These collectibles, although NC items, cannot be purchased through the NC Mall and can only be obtained by non-premium members through gifting or trading via gift boxes.
These collectibles are awarded to each Premium Subscriber with an active membership at the time they are awarded. However, if you subscribe to premium membership on the 1st of July (for example), you will automatically be awarded the premium collectible that was awarded on June 15th; on July 15th, you will also be awarded that month's premium collectible. All collectibles are permanent once received and do not disappear if you cancel or expire your membership.

Customisation Journal
Starting in August 2018, the Customisation Journal was added as a premium perk. You can document your pets' customisations by saving an image of them and writing a description about them. You can add up to 6 journal entrees per day. You can edit, delete, like and view all journal entrees at any time.
Dependent on your privacy settings, all journal entries can be viewed by other Neopians. If you want your customisation journal to be private, it can be done through your preferences page. You can choose to either have everyone see your journal, just neofriends, or no one.
Daily Widget
As of August 6, 2025, the Daily Widget, a short-cut tool for dailies, has returned! Premium Subscribers can find the Daily Widget in their premium dropdown list and it will pop up on the bottom right-hand corner. Additionally, you can customise or rearrange how you want your Daily Widget to look.
Double Plot Prizes
In second installment of the plot, The Void Within: Lost in the Dark, all prizes are automatically doubled for Premium Subscribers. This perk began August 4, 2025.
Extra Daily Quest
As of March 24, 2025, Premium Subscribers have access to an extra daily quest. This quest will always appear at the bottom of the five other quests and is a brighter gold color in comparison to the other quests. We currently see that the extra daily quests have primarily been customising, feeding or grooming your pet; whichever is missing from the 5 original quests above it.Extra Pet Slot
In June 2012, an extra pet slot was introduced as a perk for Premium Subscribers. A total of 4 pets can be added to your account through Premium subscription. This means that you can have a total of 10 pets (6 default and 4 premium slots) with this perk. (This does not total the count with 10 pet slots bought with NC, which would make it 20 overall.) If the premium subscription is cancelled or expired, you would be asked to remove 4 pets from your account. These pets do not get deleted. They are deactivated until you either purchase slots via NC Mall or add premium again.
Extra Prizes
Premium Subscribers officially receive extra bonus prizes when completing site-wide events. This began during the 2024 Advent Calendar when Premium Subscribers would get the day's prize plus an extra premium prize daily. Extra prizes were also given out during the Neopies and Festival of Neggs in 2025. Most prizes are new items, however, there is a chance that some of the items have already existed.Fortune Cookies
At the beginning of every month, Premium Subscribers are sent a random Fortune Cookie that goes straight into their inventory. A neomail will be sent to your account stating which Fortune Cookie has been added to your inventory. Possible Fortune Cookies known to be sent out as of April 2025 include NC Archives, Plot Points, Faerie Quest, NC Upcycle, Training and Lab Ray.
Featured Games with Increased Sending Scores
Premium Subscribers also recieve an extra featured game each day (in addition to the featured game that all players get). The game acts exactly like a featured game for all players. Therefore, instead of getting double neopoints on one game each day, those with Premium get two games on which to try their luck!
As of February 10, 2025, the number of daily scores have increased from 3 submissions to 4 submissions for those who have Premium. This perk can be used for HTML5 (converted) games and for all traditional Flash games listed on site.
Gallery Categories
As of August 2018, Premium Subscribers are able to have a total of 20 categories to divide up their items accordingly. All other Neopians are subject to only 10 categories. If premium is cancelled or has expired and 20 categories have already been established, it does not eliminate the categories. Additionally, this perk does not affect the upgrade status of the gallery.
Goodie Bags
At the beginning of every month, Premium Subscribers are sent an exclusive goodie bag called 25th Anniversary Premium Goodie Bag. This perk began August 2024 to hype up for the 25th Anniversary of Neopets. The goodie bag's prize pool and appearance updated in February 2025. Below are the prizes from 2025.
Increased Wheel Spins
In November 2024, the premium perk of having an extra spin on wheels began. It had started with Neopets' birthday wheel, the Wheel of Celebration, and later, the other wheels took suit. Other wheels that have increased spins include the Wheel of Excitement, the Wheel of Mediocrity, the Wheel of Knowledge, the Wheel of Extravagance, and the Wheel of Misfortune.
Lab Ray
Starting on March 17, 2025, an extra daily zap from either the Lab Ray and the Petpet Lab Ray was given as a perk to Premium Subscribers. This allows for those with premium to have 2 zaps per day. This can stack with the Lab Ray Fortune Cookies (Lab Ray only), giving Premium Subscribers a total of 5 zaps per day.
Lucky Space Faerie Charm
Once you subscribe to premium, a Space Faerie Charm appears on your account's userlookup within 24 hours. The Space Faerie Charm is not a handheld item. It is a lucky charm that allows you to earn more than the allocated amount you've earned in any Flash game.
Premium and Charter NeoBoards
The Premium Neoboards are neoboards that are accessible only by Premium Subscribers. Main Hall, Spotlights and Games, and Help are neoboards that all Premium Subscribers can view once they immediately pay for membership.
The Charter Boards, such as Trading/Auctions, NC Mall and Main, are further reserved for those who have had premium for 4 months or longer. The Premium Neoboards are generally more relaxed and contain less spam than other neoboards.
Premium Cards
Another feature of having Premium membership is the awarding of Premium Collectable Cards. Each card is earned with each month having membership. You can view your cards by clicking "Premium NeoDeck" in your Premium Portal.
These cards are automatically placed in a special Neodeck and they are only ever awarded to Premium Subscribers for each month of membership; if you take a break from premium membership and then return, all of your previous cards will reappear, as well as any new cards. However, you will not see any cards from the periods during which your membership was expired.

Random Events
Premium Subscribers can often get a random visit from Mira, the Space Faerie. These random events appear as you explore the site just like regular random events. Premium random events can either be a random item up to r75, or it can be neopoints ranging up to 2,500. There are no premium random events that take away neopoints and items, or that change your pets.

Site Theme
The "Space Faerie Premium" site theme was released to only Premium Subscribers on October 31st, 2020. The site theme is added to your list once your premium membership has been activated (which may take up to 24 hours from signing up). If you cancel your premium subscription, the site theme will be removed from your list.
Space Faerie Vending Machine
The Space Faerie Vending Machine is available to Premium Subscribers, however, it can only be played if you have a Mysterious Token. This item has now been retired from the weekly Space Faerie Scratchcard. As of now, unless a Premium Subscriber has a stash of Mysterious Tokens, the vending machine is made available, but unplayable.
Streak Save Ticket
The Streak Save Ticket restores any interrupted streaks from Trudy's Surprise and the Quest Log. This perk was released on February 25, 2025, and offers Premium Subscribers 2 Streak Save Tickets for each daily; restoring them on the first of every month. Tickets do not roll over, or accumulate, into the next month and cannot be used on side accounts.
To view your tickets, they can be found on the Premium Portal. When tapping the icon, you will find how many tickets you have left in both dailies. It also will state how long it will take until the tickets restore (at the first of the following month).
If you do happen to break a streak in either daily, a Streak Save Ticket will appear to ask if you want to use the perk. You have 7 days to make a decision as to whether to continue the streak with a ticket, or forfeit the streak and over. If used, it will confirm that the streak is fixed and your tickets are one less than before.
If you choose to forfeit your streak, you will be asked if this is something you want to do. Once you confirm, you will then start your streak over without a use of a ticket.
Super Shop Wizard
The premium Super Shop Wizard (also known as SSW) is much like the traditional Shop Wizard, where it will search the shops and galleries of other Neopians to locate specific items. There is no specific page for the SSW. It is instead a popup that can be pulled up like a tab from the Shop Wizard or from the premium tool bar.
The SSW does more than just view shops and galleries the same way as the Shop Wizard. It also shares the lowest prices of items you are searching for throughout Neopia. In other words, refreshing nonstop to find the cheaper price is no longer needed!
There are some restrictions when it comes to the SSW. The first is limited searches where the SSW will time out. The amount of searches is random, but we know you can only search for so many items at a time. The SSW will be usable again at the top of the next hour.
Another restriction is that not all items can be searched such as transmogrification potions, nerkmids, paint brushes, secret laboratory map pieces, etc. If you try searching for an item that the SSW cannot locate, you will receive the following message:
Lastly, the SSW can also locate the average price of the ten lowest prices containing the item in question. By checking the box marked "Price Only," it will generate a response stating the average price of the item. While you're not allowed to search for paint brushes, nerkids and the like, you may still do an average price search on them. This could be useful if you're looking to price a nerkmid in your own shop.
