Job Description

We are looking for a new PHP programmer to join the Sunnyneo staff. The programmer or programmers we accept will have to be able to develop new pages, and also modify and upgrade existing pages on the sunnyneo site.

We are judging on experience with using PHP. Skills in other web languages and technologies such as javascript and MySQL are very useful too. An extensive knowledge of HTML is necessary as you will be designing the front end of pages as well as the back end.

This position has a large workload and you will be expected to spend a few hours a week programming.

Requirements

The person we are looking for must meet the following qualifications.

You can code your own pages.
Your pages must work with all browsers, this is not an issue with PHP, but any javascript used must work on IE, FF, Chrome, Opera and Safari.
You are okay with the fact that your pages will not have any credit directly to you on the page. You will however be placed on the About Us page as a programmer so you will still get due credit there.
You accept that when you make something for the site it will then become the site's and if you were to ever leave, the pages you contributed would stay.
You plan on doing this job for quite a long time. We are not looking for people who will quit after a month. Please only apply if you're sure you will enjoy this job.
You are able / allowed to download and install an FTP Program. We use this program to upload files on the SunnyNeo webserver and edit them as well. Without this program you will not be able to upload your work.
You are okay with us giving you some criticism and maybe asking for some changes to be made if need be.
You must have ninja coding skills in PHP.

Preferences

Below you can see a list of our preferences. You do not need to meet these preferences, but it's a big bonus if you do. If you don't meet our preferences you can still apply, after all, they're preferences, not requirements.

You be out of highschool, or 15/16 years or older.
You have Discord (preferred) or Skype.
You have quite a bit of experience, whether it be formal training or you have just been doing it for awhile.
You do not have a website with your own neopets fan site on it. If you do have a neopets fan site, you would be willing to either remove it, or move the content to SunnyNeo. We would like the person to not have any ties to a neopets website, other than to SunnyNeo. Some exceptions may still apply.
You are skilled in both MySQL and Javascript, we don't mind if you are not an expert already as both of these are pretty easy to learn.
Having some knowledge of flash, java or making browser extensions would be nice, but is not in any way necessary.

Finally, make sure that your neomail is not on neofriends-only. If we like your work we will contact you for some further details.
