The Battling Continues!

After the prize shop and winner of the War for the Obelisk were released, a "truce countdown" appeared on the Battleground page. Unsure of what this meant, many concerned Neopians consulted TNT, and TNT finally released more details in the editorial, stating the following:

Hello, TNT! *hands out cupcakes* I've been wondering: when the truce ends, will we be unable to buy stuff from the prize shop, even if we still have points? If it stays open, will whatever happens wind up giving us more points? Please answer, otherwise this'll bug me for a while. X) ~surfcb
You will find out soon enough, but we also don't want you guys panicking and spending your points before you're ready. The prize shop and your points are from the war and will not increase or vanish once the timer winds down. While we recommend keeping your sword arm ready, the prize shop marked the end of the "site plot / event / war." The resulting skirmishes, however, are just about to start...

On April 30th, Neopians figured out what TNT meant when the first "resulting skirmish" at the battleground began. TNT announced in the news, stating the following:

It seems that the boons bestowed by the oracle have faded and the battlefield has been cleared for the next skirmish. It's again time for the factions to fight to claim the oracle's blessing for themselves! The oracle will choose three factions (excluding the previous winner) to fight in each Battleground. Choose a faction to support, aid your fellows in battle, and be rewarded!

This round, the Oracle has made its first faction selections: the Order of the Red Erisim, Thieves Guild, and the Seekers. According to the countdown running on the battleground page, this round of battling will last for 4 days.

Unlike the last war, there is now no progress bar on the Battleground Page. It is unknown exactly how many battles you should battle, or if there is a battle "cap." The best strategy may be to just get in as many wins as possible. Additionally, TNT has taken away the auto-healing capabilities that were around during the actual war.

Boons
Members on the Thieves Guild were also allowed to pick out their boons for achieving victory. Some of these boons were the same that were originally awarded, but others have changed.

Normal Boons

Cheaper By the Dozen
By some force that defies explanation, the rules of the Stock Market bend to your will.

What it does: This boon will allow you to buy stocks priced as low as 10nps each stock, instead of the usual minimum of 15nps in the stock market. If you buy stocks daily, and have a set price you thold them til, this would save you 5k a day, and isnt a bad option if you none of the other boons are up your alley.

Five-Finger Discount
Description

What it does: This boon will provide a 10% discount when haggling at Neopian shops. The discount only applies during haggling, so any shops that do not require haggling (like the Hidden Tower) will not be discounted.

LOL AVIES
Description

What it does: This boon allows you to "steal" someone else's avatar for the duration of the boon. Instead of appearing as a normal avatar, however, it will show that you have "pilfered" the avatar from someone else. If you get bored of your new pilfered avatar, you can just steal someone else's avatar to switch. These stolen avatars do not count toward your secret avatar count.

Doppelgänger
Description

What it does: This boon will allow you to use one-use battledome items (snowballs, muffins, potions) more than once in battle before they disappear. Some one-use items will still disappear after one use, but often, you'll find that you get to re-use them. This does not apply to once per battle items.

Scratch Master
Description

What it does: This boon will allow you to purchase two scratchcards at any of the scratchcard kiosks instead of just one. Normally, you are required to wait 2 hours before purchasing another.

Premium Boons

Full Pockets
The scratchcard hums in your hands and you feel luckier. This is not the Space Faerie's doing....

What it does: This boon will increase the amount of NP awarded from your Space Faerie Scratchcards. If you win an item from your scratchcard instead, you will also be awarded an additional prize of 1,000 NP. If you have more than one unscratched card, it will apply to all of them.

Premium Dreamium
You feel drawn to the Games Room, determined to leave richer than you arrived.

What it does: This boon doubles the maximum number of scores you can send in the Premium Featured Game from 3 to 6. During Games Galore, however, you are only allowed one extra score sent (for a total of 6 scores sent instead of doubling the scores sent from 5 to 10).

Other Teams
Those who were not on the winning team but on Seekers or The Order received one random item as a prize.
