On June 29th, 2026, the Altador Cup XX released a brand new game into the tournament, Obstacle Course Caper. Play as the petpet, Yooyu, and roll past various obstacles while simulatenously trying to capture flags along the way.

We've begun playing the game ourselves to release a brand new Obstacle Course Caper game guide to get everyone ready for when the tournament officially begins on Monday, July 6th. Good luck!

Signups for the 20th Altador Cup begin today! Go here to pick a team from the map then click "Sign up" (note that you will need to expand the text on mobile to see the sign up button).

You will be awarded with the team frame and an item based on your years of participation. The new item is Tidye “Coach” Stokes Plushie for all years of participation.

Fun fact: Tidye was the first name of the first Black American woman to participate in the Olympics!

Ahead of the upcoming tournament we have begun the process of updating centralizing our graphics hub. We have broken it up by team and have a section for general, so you can show your team spirit or simply your love of the game. You can check them all out here.

This year we are debuting sticker fonts as well which are all ready to go for each team. We also have some all new shop and gallery layouts for each team coming, as well as a bunch of things for the all new Neopian Central team so no one is going to be left out!

Over the last few days TNT have introduced some new features. While they have not explicitly stated as such, it feels like they are an attempt to combat botting and real world trading.

The first update was to the Trading Post and was posted about in the news:

To ensure a safer economy, we’ve introduced a 100,000,000 NP daily receiving cap on the Trading Post. This rolling 24-hour limit only applies to the total Neopoints you receive across your trades, and item-only transfers remain completely unaffected. If you hit the cap, you'll see a friendly "Hold your Kadoaties!" reminder to take your higher-value deals over to the Auction House!

The second has not been posted about by TNT but it has been showing up in shops: new captchas. 

This does replace the need to click on a pet. At this time, the Companion App does not have these captchas.

The event of the summer is BACK! Now that Neopia is back to normal (sort of?), the Altador Cup is up and running for its 20th year! It is confirmed that many changes have been made for this year's AC, which will be displayed below. Additionally, our Altador Cup guide has gotten a complete makeover after over 10 years (and continues to be updated as the AC progresses). Check it out today! And as the days progress, be on the lookout from our SunnyNeo team of new graphics, fonts, guides and more!

This year's AC will be shorter in duration compared to prior years. The AC Tournament Period is 9 days long and consists of 3 rounds. They work as follows:

Round 1 -- Teams are randomly paired up to compete against each other. Winners of this round will be placed in the Upper Mid bracket, and losers of the round will be placed in the Mid bracket. Once the round is finished, there will be a 1-day Round Break (or bye day) to give time to calculate the final scores and determine brackets.

Round 2 -- Teams within the Upper Mid and Mid brackets will randomly be paired up to compete against each other. Winners in the Upper Mid bracket will be placed in the Top bracket, while the losers will remain in the Upper Mid bracket. Winners in the Mid bracket will stay in the Mid bracket, while the lowers will move down to the Lower bracket. Once the round is finished, there will be a 1-day Round Break (or bye day) to give time to calculate the final scores and determine final brackets.

Round 3 -- At this point, brackets are fully determined and every team will play every other team in the backet, for a total of 4 days/games and 1 bye day per team. The teams who earn the overall highest score will place in the #1 spot of their bracket while all other teams will be placed 2nd-5th.

Compete against other teams by playing four traditional games (Yooyuball, Make Some Noise, Slushie Slinger, and Shootout Showdown) and one new game to debut, Obstacle Course Caper. (Updated game guides are currently in the works!)

A brand new team has made it's way to the Altador Cup this year: Neopia Central!

The days of grinding to All Star rank has been eliminated! Instead, TNT has brought back Achievements which made its debut back in AC V. There are also daily trivia questions that earn you points!

Additionally, aside from the NC component of the AC, Altador from the Clouds, there is also a track component (similar to TVW's track component). The Challenge Track is a new way to earn extra rewards by participating in the AC. The more points you earn from playing games, answering trivia questions, and completing achievements, the more rewards! There is a free track for all to participate, and a purchasable option called The Champion's Track. The Champion's Track pass can be purchased in the NC Mall.

This competition is different from Solitaire Soiree in that it's not PvP; rather, this time it's a series of personal challenges. Every three days a new challenge will appear. Challenge rewards will only be granted once and can be claimed at any time even after this event ends. However, it is noted that the avatar and trophy will be made available after the event itself. The event runs TODAY (June 22nd) to July 7th.

Anyone can earn the top trophy this time, as long as you complete all 5 challenges within their initial 3 day timeframe.

And if you complete one 1 challenge you can get the participation avatar.

Per TNT there is one more week until the Altador Cup Press tour kicks off! Get ready for all new adventures and features as there will be trivia questions to earn early prize points, a new Challenge Track (similar to TVW's Adventure Pass), a new game, retired avatars, a NeoCash event, and more.
