What is the Advent Calendar?
The Advent Calendar is place in Happy Valley that you can visit once a day all through the month of December to see a cute little animation and get some prizes. Sometimes you can also go to the Advent Calendar in July, if
Neopets has the Christmas in July holiday. You can get things like Neopoints, plushies, toys, along with a few avatars. You are also able to unlock the winter site theme on December 31st.

Similar to the hidden snowflakes in 2012, the advent calendar in 2013 features hidden novas. The novas are hidden in the daily advent calendar animations. Clicking on them, will result in you getting a random item as a bonus reward. All the hidden nova prizes are listed below.
Bright Holiday Snowballs
On December 5rd, with your hidden nova you will receive a Bright Holiday Snowball. This is a no-trade item which has no function unless you go to the NC Mall and buy Super Warm Holiday Mittens. These can be used to melt the snowball.
