Petpet Pond

Grab your fishing pole! We're going fishin'! In Petpet Pond your objective is to get more points than the other players before your time runs out.

There are three Petpets to catch. They are the Goldy, the Nuranna, and the Bubblebee. Each is worth different points and have a different level difficulty to catch them. Bubblebees are easier to catch versus the other two, but aren't worth as much.

Petpet Pond Fish

Goldy
Worth 100 points

Nuranna
Worth 50 points

Bubblebee
Worth 25 points

To cast your line you will need to move your mouse close to a fishes mouth. Click to throw the bobber out. Be careful not to hit a fish because that will scare them away and you will have to try again. When you throw your bobber in a good spot, a fish will have a heart appear over his head and swim towards the bobber. You will want to click your mouse repeatedly to reel the fish in. In the picture below you will notice a little timer. It counts down the time you have to wait before you can re-cast your bobber.

When the fish is almost caught, yellow expression marks will show and he will jump out of the water. You've caught him! Move fast to the next one because you are being timed!

Tips and Strategies
In addition to each petpet being a different difficulty to catch, each petpet has a certain area in which you have to cast your bobber to "attract" it to bite. Goldys have a very small area, and you'll have to cast your bobber almost right on top of their mouth to get them to bite. Nurannas and Bubblebees will chase your bobber a bit, so you don't need to be as accurate with those.

Remember that it's best to catch petpets early. When you catch a petpet, you don't get the points for it immediately. You only get points when the number floats up from your fishing pole. Basically, if you aren't reeling a fish in by the start of the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 count towards the end of the game, you most likely won't get the points for it.

It's best to go for Goldys first, even though they're more difficult to catch, since they give a big 100 points apiece. Once all the Goldys are gone, go for Nurannas, then Bubblebees last.
