Pet Bookshelf

On November 2nd, 2026, each pet officially was given their own bookshelf, similar to the Archived Book Collection. The Pet Bookshelf keeps track of what books your pet has been reading over the years. It will allow you to purchase and collect books of different types for your pet, and in turn, earn trophies and rewards. 

Books act like a stamp in which once they are read (for the first time), they will disappear from your inventory and be placed on their bookshelf. All books, new and old, count towards your pet's bookshelf.

How to Play

To access your pet's bookshelf, head on over to the Quick Ref page by clicking My Pets icon on the sidebar (not from the dropdown). From there, there are two different ways to get to the pet's bookshelf. Either by dropdown of each pet, or it will be a link directly under each active pet you're viewing. 

The Pet Bookshelf will list all the books your pet has read, keeping track of each book and its title. The list is split into both regular books and Booktastic books. 
 

 

Customising Your Bookshelf

You have the option to Enter Pet Bookshelf, where you will see a shelf similar to the Archived Bookshelf Collection. Here you can view and customise each pet's individual bookshelf and swap between your pets on the top left. Although the Pet Bookshelves and the Archive Bookshelves share the same inventory for decorations each item can only be used on one shelf at a time. You can purchase decor for your pet's bookshelf at Shelf Indulgence or from other players. If you are Premium you also have a chance of winning them from the Wheel of Starlight. You can also purchase NC Mall items to customise each pet's bookshelf. Additionally, you can buy extra shelves. Purchasing shelving starts at 3,000 NP and will go up 500 NP for each additional shelf. For every 150 unique books your pet reads you will earn additional shelves. Any free shelves do not increase the cost of your next paid shelf. Limitations

There are some limitations to what you can do with your Pet Bookshelf. When it comes to purchasing you must only purchase and earn decorations from your main account. Another is that you cannot be lent a pet who has their milestone rewards already claimed to get rewards for yourself. Similarly, if you adopt a pet and they read 300 books, you cannot claim the previous milestone rewards, just the subsequent ones.

Gold Trophy 2,000 Books

Silver Trophy 1,000 Books

Bronze Trophy 500 Books

Trophies are automatically added to your lookup once you've reached specific milestones. When you read a book that takes you to the threshold you will see the reward on the pop-up window.
