JubJub Blackjack

JubJub Blackjack is a classic casino card game. In this game, you play against your active Neopet by betting with Neopoints. You can bet between 1 NP to 400 NP. If you have a JubJub as an active pet, you can bet up to 500 NP.



   

How to Play

Exactly like the popular game, Blackjack, the goal is to have your cards add up equal to or as close to 21 as possible. Cards are similar to a regular deck of cards where each number is at face value, face cards equal 10 and the Ace can be 1 or 11. Before the game begins, you are prompted to make a bet. You can bet between 1 NP to 400 NP, or up to 500 NP if you have a JubJub as an active pet. You cannot see any of the cards prior to betting. Instead, it will display Yellow Elephante or White Aisha as the "back" of each card.

Once you make your bet, you will be shown both of your cards. You will only see one card flipped from your opponent. Your focus, however, is to primarily count the total numbers from your cards and choose to either hit , stick or double . Remember, your goal is to get close to a total of 21, including being closer to 21 in compared to your opponent.
 

Moves	Definition
HIT	A card will be added to your hand, increasing the total amount of points. You can continue until you reach 21, bust, or an amount that you want to stick with.
STICK	No card will be added to your hand, keeping your total amount the same. Once you select STICK, you end your overall play.
DOUBLE	You double your bet and a card will be added to your hand, increasing the total amount of points.

When you hit or double, the cards will be added to your deck for you to see its total. You will not be able to see your opponents cards or total changing. If you're closer to 21, you will not be given the option to double.

Even if you hit 21 (or a number close to 21 that you're comfortable sticking to), you must wait for your opponent to finish. Their second card will flip, showing their total. It will state what your pet will do for their turn and for you to click here! to continue.

Winning the Game

There are two ways to win the game, and each give out Neopoints differently. The first is if your hand starts out with a total 21 points. This is considered Black Jack and will have you earn your entire bet plus half of your bet amount. You will also earn double your bet, plus your stake when you have a total closest to 21. This is the only time where Neopoints given is stacked.

The other way is if you earn 21 points by adding a card, or a hit, as well as being higher than your opponent, but not busting.

Losing the Game

There are three ways to lose the game. The first is if your opponent gets Blackjack before you, is closer to 21 than you, or if you bust and go over 21 points.

Tie Games

There is also a chance to get a tie game where both you and your opponent end up with the same total. You will just win your bet amount back with no additional Neopoints.

JubJub Blackjack on the Companion App

JubJub Blackjack was added to the Companion App on September 3rd, 2026 where you can gamble on the go. Unlike the site itself, JubJub Blackjack looks like it's located in a casino with your active pet across the blackjack table from you.

Strategies

While there are a couple of strategies playing JubJub Blackjack, it does rely solely on chance of what cards you and your opponent randomly get dealt.

Know when the double
It is best to double when you have a very low total starting out. If you have less than 10 total points, we recommend taking the chance and choose to double. You can then begin to hit or stick later on if you haven't yet reached 21 or an amount near 21.

The trick is to stick
If you are at a number closer to 21, we recommend sticking versus hitting. The lowest highest total amount to stick rather than hit would be 16.
