What is the History Capsule Adventure?
The History Capsule Adventure is a site event currently running at the NC Mall. The news introduced the History Capsule Adventure on August 22, 2012:

Zylphia is all set to explore Neopia's past with her time machine, the chronomobile. Step into the chronomobile and start off on the History Capsule Adventure! A Mystery Capsule from each era will be dropped off at the NC Mall for you to investigate. What type of treasure will you bring back from Neopia's golden age?

From August 22, 2012 to September 25, 2012, you can explore the vast history of Neopia with Zylphia. Over this time period, 7 different Mystery Capsules will be released, each focusing on a different time period in Neopia's past. Buy at least one of each Mystery Capsule in the adventure and you will qualify for a special bonus prize. If you are lucky enough to find at least one limited edition bonus item in each of the 7 different Mystery Capsules in the adventure, you will also qualify for a second bonus prize. Keep an eye out though, because all of the Mystery Capsules in the adventure won't stick around the NC Mall until the end of the event!

Special Bonus Items
You can get two special bonus items for the History Capsule Adventure. First of all, you will get a bonus item if you buy all of the History Capsule Adventure capsules from the NC Mall.

There will be seven different capsules in the History Capsule Adventure:
- Sloth Invasion Mystery Capsule
- Discovery of Tyrannia Mystery Capsule
- Usurper Mystery Capsule
- Champions of Meridell Mystery Capsule
- Curse of Maraqua Mystery Capsule
- Tale of Woe Mystery Capsule
- Faerie�s Ruin Mystery Capsule

Keep in mind you'll have to buy these capsules! Any capsules you'll get gifted will not count towards getting this bonus item.

You will also earn a second bonus when you get at least one of the limited edition bonus items in each of the 7 different capsules by opening the mystery capsules in the History Capsule Adventure. Of course, this will not always happen on first try, so you might need to open several Mystery Capsules of one kind before you will get one of the limited edition bonus items.

You will not get this second bonus item when you just open the Mystery Capsules, but do not get at least one limited edition bonus item from each of the 7 capsules in the History Capsule Adventure. You also won't get this bonus item if someone gifts you one or more of the limited edition bonus items.

If you're planning on getting the second bonus, (the big one at the end of the event) keep in mind that all Mystery Capsules are paid with Neocash, for which you'll have to spend real money. The only way to qualify for this bonus is by getting at least one limited edition bonus item from each of the Mystery Capsules in the event through opening the Mystery Capsules. Since this is random, it's not guaranteed a Mystery Capsule will give out a limited edition bonus item. Therefore it is very possible that you'll have to buy many Mystery Capsules before you'll open one that will give out one of the limited edition bonus items. In this way, the event can become rather expensive!

Earlier events
The Mystery Capsule adventure concept of this event has been used for several NC Mall events before. The event is a spin-off of the Great Mystery Capsule Adventure event, that was hosted in the NC Mall during the Fall of 2009 and the Great Mystery Capsule Adventure Continues event, which was hosted a year later during Fall 2010.

Also similar was last year's Case of the Mini Mystery Capsules and the Quest for Knowledge Mystery Capsule adventure that was hosted in the NC mall during spring 2010.

Do I need to purchase and open the event Mystery Capsules in any particular order?
No. These Mystery Capsules can be purchased and opened in any order, but remember each capsule is only available for a limited time and capsules must be purchased and opened between August 22, 2012 and September 25, 2012.

Will I receive multiple NC item prizes if I purchase more than one of each Mystery Capsule or receive more than one Mystery Capsule bonus item from each of the seven capsules?
No. Only one of each of the NC item prizes can be awarded to a Neopets account.

Can I receive Mystery Capsules as a gift to qualify for the first NC item prize?
No. Each Mystery Capsule in the History Capsule Adventure must be purchased in order to qualify for the NC item prize. Only one of each of the NC item prizes from the event can be claimed on a Neopets account.

What do I need to do to receive the second NC item prize?
If you open all seven Mystery Capsules in the History Capsule Adventure and find at least one (of three) bonus items from each of those seven capsules, you�ll receive the second NC item prize.

I purchased all seven Mystery Capsules and did not receive the first NC item prize.
Please make sure that you�ve purchased the seven Mystery Capsules that are included in the History Capsule Adventure. Only these seven Mystery Capsules count toward the NC item prize. These capsules must be purchased. Gifted capsules will not count toward the NC item prize.

I opened all seven Mystery Capsules, received at least one bonus item from each, and did not receive the second NC item prize.
Please make sure that you�ve opened the seven Mystery Capsules that are included in the History Capsule Adventure. Only the bonus items of these seven Mystery Capsules count toward the second NC item prize.

I was gifted the bonus items to all seven Mystery Capsules in the History Capsule Adventure. Why didn�t I receive the second NC item prize?
You will only receive the second NC item prize if you received at least one of the bonus items from each of the Mystery Capsules by opening them all on your own account. Gifted bonus items from any of the seven Mystery Capsules do not count toward the second NC item prize.

I was not able to purchase one of the Mystery Capsules when it was on sale. Do I still qualify to receive the NC item prize?
Sorry, you must purchase all seven capsules during their sale windows in order to qualify for the first NC item prize. The good news is you may still be able to qualify for a chance at the second NC item prize.
