Turns out the majority of the people are still receiving this avatar so we aren't sure yet of the specifics if there are any. If you don't get the notice for the avatar, check your avatar list first, some people arent getting the notice for it, but are receiving the avatar. If you still don't receive the avatar, I guess just try again the next day, maybe during a different time.

Go to the Buzz Caption Contest. Then view the source of the page, by either right clicking and hitting view source, or going up to view and going to source. Once you have the source page open, hit ctrl+f to open the find box, and type in 'buzz'. It will take you to an area that says buzz map. On the line right below the buzz map line there will be a partial url that will look like this:

/games/new_caption.phtml?buzz1=ANUMBERHERE&place=664

Everyones number is different. You need to copy this partial url and paste it into your address bar. After you paste it into your address bar, add a neopets.com in front of the /game and then hit enter and it will take you to the caption contest page again, and will give you the avatar.

Have any kind of submission published in a 50th issue of the Neopian Times, (ie. 200, 250, 300, ... etc.). As of 2023 (Y25), it has been changed to every 25th issue of the Neopian Times.

Go to the Music page. This avatar is available to all Neopets Premium members.

Before the big changes in premium, it was only available to those who had successfully referred 4 people to sign up and pay for premium through the referral system.

This avatar shows up as a default avatar once you get it, and does not count towards your secret avatar count.

Have 'Usul - Gothic' as your shopkeeper and check your shop front.

If you change your shopkeeper to something else and check your shop front again after doing so, you will lose the avatar.
