Job Description

We're looking for one or more CSS layout stylists. As a CSS layout stylist you would be able to create CSS layouts for:

Userlookups
Petlookups
Petpages
Shops
Galleries
Guild Layouts

There are three types of CSS Layouts that we are interested in:

Pure CSS layouts without any images
CSS layouts with the use of neopets images, like items, shopkeepers, fun images etc.
CSS layouts with the use of your own small graphics, like a background or an art drawing.

We are interested in all three of these types of CSS layouts. If you can not make type 3, but you can make type 1 and 2, thats fine! You do not need to be able to add your own graphics to your layout.

For this job, we are also looking for a person who is able to work together with our artists. Our artists would be able to draw a picture, or make a background, which you would then be able to use in the layout that you are making. Basically you would create type 3 layouts in a team.

It would also be nice if you would be able to make smaller CSS related objects (not entire layouts), such as tables for the petlookup description.

Furthermore it would be great if you could keep our CSS Codes page up to date. And, if you could write tutorials for coding layouts.

We would like to mention that we would not want any css layouts made that feature anchored links which display hidden elements i.e clickable layouts. These layouts do not work in the Opera browser, and we would like to be fair to every SunnyNeo user, and don't wish to exclude anyone.

Requirements

The person we are looking for must meet the following qualifications.

You can code your own layouts. We do not accept coding taken from another site and adjusted. You need know yourself how to design a layout codingwise.
Your layouts are compatible with at least Firefox and Internet Explorer. Preferably you know how to make them compatible with Google Chrome, Safari, Flock and Opera as well.
On average you are able to make at least one new layout a week.
You are capable of working together with other staff members such as artists and create a layout with them.
You are okay with the fact that your layouts will not have any credit directly to you on them in the coding. You will however be placed on the About us page as a CSS Layout Stylist so you will still get credit due there.
You accept that when you make something for the site it will then become the site's and if you were to ever leave, the layouts you contributed would stay.
You plan on doing this job for quite a long time. We are not looking for people who will quit after a month. Please only apply if you're sure you will enjoy this job.
You are okay with us giving you some layout criticism and maybe asking for some changes to be made if need be.

Preferences

Below you can see a list of our preferences. You do not need to meet these preferences, but it's a big bonus if you do. If you don't meet our preferences you can still apply, after all, they're preferences, not requirements.

You are out of highschool, or 15 years or older.
You have Discord (preferred) or Skype.
You have quite a bit of experience, whether it be formal training or you have just been doing it for awhile.
You do not have a website with your own Neopets layouts on it. We would like the person to not have any ties to another Neopets website, other than SunnyNeo. Some exceptions still apply (hence why this is just a preference). For example, if you have your own petpage of custom layouts this is fine. If you create premades on your own petpage, this is also okay as long as you are still productive with SunnyNeo. If you would be willing to move your previously made layouts to SunnyNeo, this would be ideal.
You are also good at explaining things, and are able to write tutorials for coding layouts.

Important!!
Please read the note below. We will not take any applications into consideration without a portfolio.

Before you decide to apply for the position of CSS Layout Stylist at SunnyNeo you MUST make a portfolio. Your portfolio will show us an overview of the layouts you have made in the past. This should give us an idea of what you are capable of making. Please include a few different types of layouts in your portfolio. For instance; userlookup, petpage, petlookup, guild and gallery. To get an idea of what a portfolio is, have a look at our example portfolio for the Graphics Maker position. We would prefer it if you could show as many things as possible. Think about showing both different kinds of layouts, and different kinds of styles that you can do. The more you show us, the more your application will shine.

Please work on making a good, solid portfolio before applying. Your portfolio will put the most weight in your application, so make sure its 100% done when you send in your application form. Don't worry if it takes longer than a day for you to make.
