What is Dark is Rising?
Dark is Rising is a new sponser game for the film The Dark is Rising. In the game, you have to collect 6 signs, and you will be rewarded with a random Bottled Faerie. This guide will tell you how to find the signs and get the Bottled Faerie. In the image below you can see the signs you need to collect.
This sponsor offer is only available for citizens of the United Kindom. Changing your country only seems to work for some people, feel free to try, but this is most likely not to work.
Starting Off
First of all you will see a black screen with a smokey pattern in the middle of it. You need to refresh this page, and you will see the same image again, but some music will play and eventually it will open into the Home map
The First Sign
In order to gain the first sign, simply click on the building labelled "Synopsis" and then return back to the main map.
The Second Sign
To get the second sign, click on the building labelled "Academy", then return to the main map.
The Third Sign
On the Home map, click on the building labelled "Trailer", and watch the trailer for The Dark is Rising, when you've done that, click back to go the Home Map once more to get the third sign.
The Forth Sign
Click on the building labelled "Play the Game" and a new window will open to the Dark is Rising site. All you have to do is play the Forest Run game, the score you get does not matter, simply submit it and return to the Home map to gain the forth sign.
The Fifth Sign
Select the building labelled "Characters", you can click on the red tabs at the side of the book to look at the different characters. View the character summary of "Will Stanton", this will gain you the Fifth Sign.
The Sixth Sign
Still on the characters page, view the character summary of "The Walker" (we've heard that it could also be on a different page). On the left side of the photograph is a hidden link, which is indicated by a red cirlce in the image below. Click this link and a note will appear on screen saying that you have won a Bottled Faerie!
Which Bottled Faerie you receive is random (Air, Earth, Water, Fire, Light or Dark).
