In the next few months SunnyNeo is going to release quite a few interesting projects related to petpets, to get started we have dug up a little history and created an Old Petpets page for you guys. On this page you can see petpets that have become extinct, or nearly extinct. A great way to learn about the history of Neopias petpets!

For those of you who have always wanted to be Notable Neopets on the Neopets front page, but just weren't chosen.. good news! Your pet can now become a featured pet at the Lablog frontpage.

On the front page it now shows three different pets which have varying rarities of zaps. The pets shown change during the day as well. The pets shown at the top have the rarest zap of the day, the two pets shown below that have had nice zaps, but less rare than the first.

Todays most rare zap, for now.. belongs to our lucky staff member Yannick, who just received an MSP Poogle. Congrats!

Note: if you do not want your pet to be selected as most interesting zap, all you have to do is change your Privacy Settings.

Apparently there were too many people scamming people out of pets while doing an avatar pet trade or a normal pet trade, and TNT got a bit tired of looking through al the report forms. They have come up with a new solution: User-to-User Transfers.

For Premium members, their Transfer page has been modified. After you choose which pet you would like to transfer to which user, you are given two options.

Option 1 is to give your pet to the other person through safe transfer.
Option 2 is to select which of the other user's pets you would like in return for your own pet.

This means that if you're trading pets with someone else, there will be no chance of you being left empty handed and the other person running off with your pet.

As you may have noticed, the neoboards have gone a bit dull without all of your favorite smileys to use. Some glitch have caused all smileys to disappear if posted on replies or board titles. Thanks to vaderish we have the solution on how to fix this:

On neoboard replies:
Make sure you have an extra smiley (for example :) ) within the smiley that you want to use, for example:

Normal	Fixed
= :*	::)*
= *usul*	*:)usul*

On neoboard titles:
Make sure you have <>  within the smiley that you want to use, for example:

Normal	Fixed
= B)	B<>)
= *shoyru*	*<>shoyru*

Also, some of you may have noticed, SunnyNeo's layout is a little bit wider now, Hurrah!

For all those users that stuck with Neopets for like an eternity can now rejoice with the shiny new shields that TNT has now given them. You can view them on our Monthly Shields page.

After we launched Lablog we have listened to a lot of suggestions and feedback from users to try and improve it further. One of these suggestions was to create something nice to display your lab results on a petlookup (in case your petpages are full). This suggestion was quite a challenge, because the very limited amount of characters. But, we managed to pull it off, here it is!

Following on from our GIFworks tutorial, we now have a new set of transparent background tutorials for Paint Shop Pro. Not just one method, not two, but three different methods, so you can pick the way that suits you best!

Our programmer Rob has worked super hard and super long on the project that I am about to announce. From today on forward, SunnyNeo has a new sub website called Lablog. On Lablog you can register for an account and then save all the zaps the lab has done for you day by day. This will create a nice log for you and for other people to see. Lablog will also generate a petpage for you that you can use on Neopets.

Thanks to hottendott we have learned that it is okay for non-Canadians to submit the Canadian Burger King Codes on Neopets in order to receive the non-trade backgrounds, balloons etc.

Below you can see a screenshot of TNT confirming this information.

You can submit each code 8 times on the Burger King page. In order to access it as a non-Canadian you must change your country to Canada first. A zip code for Quebec is G1C 2X4. If you're in the United States you do not have to change your country first. You can simply click on the grey Canadian flag.

You are also allowed to submit these codes on side accounts.

Our Keyquest guide has just been updated with information from the new beta update (so far it is for premium members only). In this new update two new mini games have been added to the game. These are Daring Dig and Faerie Labyrinth. You can read about these mini games in our guide.


Also, yesterday we've done some maintenance to some of our layouts. Some of them had a horizontal scrollbar when viewed in 1024 x 768. We've fixed these so they no longer have that. The layouts affected were: Maths Nightmare lookup, Razul Lookup, Island Fever guild, Neopian Times guild, Pirate Guild, Valentines Day guild and Pirate Shop/Gallery layout.
If you are using one of these layouts, it's best to renew your code with the new code at SunnyNeo.

Mission 2 of the Petpet Park plot has just been released, you can go there from your Mission screen by clicking on the second (grey) badge.

After being rescued from Terror Mountain, it seems the Dryms have found their way to SunnyNeo! Secondly we've made a Frequently Asked Questions page about the new Petpet Park Plot. This should answer the most commonly asked questions.

We have created an Online Eyedropper Tool that you can use to find out the hex colours of your avatars. This nifty tool will assist you when making fonts without having to download any programs!


We've also done a huge compatability check on all the graphics on our website. We've tested all the layouts to see if they're working correctly on: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera and Flock! On each of the graphics pages you will see the icons of each of the browsers. If your browser is listed, this means that the layout works perfectly on that browser. If a browser is not listed, it means it doesn't work optimally.

The first of many Petpet Park Goodies to come has been added to the site, they are Mission Counters! While these will most likely be the only plot-specific graphics we release due to how short this plot is going to be, we will soon be releasing graphics that pertain to Petpet Park in general which you can use long after the plot is over. The first comic of Operation Petpet Park has just been released.

For the first Mission you need to choose the correct path through a cave in the Terror Mountains. If you take the wrong cave entrance, you will be stopped by Snow Beasts, your path will be different from other users, but will stay the same for you. So remember your path, just in case you take the wrong cave entrance.

Neopets has released two new books for merchandise: Ghoul Catchers: The Quest Continues and Ultimate Neopets Tips!. These books also come with a brand new set of trivia questions for you to answer. If you answer the questions correctly you will receive both books as an item on Neopets.
