For other news, the 'The Case of the Mini Mystery Capsules' event is coming to an end with the new Gothic Feather Mystery Capsule that is selling in the NC Mall. This capsule will give out the Mini Gothic Feather Mystery Capsule.


The mini capsule will give out one of the following bonus items: Jagged Jewel Crown and Spooky Cyclops Apron.


Since these items are the last in their series, the special bonus items are available now too! If you bought all five regular capsules, you'll get a Mystery Capsule Factory Background. If you opened your capsules and got all five mini capsules, you'll get a Extra Shiny Red Wig.


Our The Case of the Mini Mystery Capsules guide has been updated with these new items.

For the last few days, many people trying to sign up with Neopets Premium have been experiencing an annoying glitch: when trying to sign up they keep getting re-directed to the Neopets home page, instead of going to the sign-up pages. This means fort a large deal of people, it's not possible to sign up for Premium right now. We hope this glitch will be fixed soon!

As for other news, it seems Delina's new daily faerie quests will only last for another week. Most likely, she will return to her regular business by the end of next weekend.


After this, you can of course still get a Faerie Quest from her, you just have to wait for her to give you a quest, just like a regular faerie quest. To find more about Delina and the items she asks for, have a look at our Crafting Faerie guide.

Edit: it seems these site issues are getting solved. A lot of people have been able to log in again, although this isn'ty working for everyone yet.

Right now, there is a glitch going on causing many people to have a problem with logging into Neopets. When you are trying to log in, you will get a message you've entered a invalid password, even when you've logged in with the right one.

Also, if you try to request your password, you will get the following message: 'We were unable to find that account.' And if you try to update your profile (providing you were already logged in), you will also get a message about having entered the wrong password.

We hope tnt will be aware of this glitch soon and fix it! Until then, try to avoid logging out when you don't really need to, because you might now be able to log in again!
(of course, if you're using a public computer, be sure to still log out when you're going off, or someone else might be able to enter your account ;) )

TNT has previously hinted at the possibilty of a fifth pet. Now it seems that they are suggesting it as a perk for Premium members!

Today a survey was released for all Premium members on their portal page in which TNT asked:

One option was "Being able to have a 5th pet"

Another new Mystery Capsule made it's way into the NC Mall. This time, it's the Feather Boa Mystery Capsule. The Mini Mystery Capsule it gives out is the Mini Feather Boa Mystery Capsule.



If you open the he Mini Mystery Capsule, you have a chance of getting one of the following bonus items: Excessive Pocket Watch Collection Garland or Festive Fireworks Cart. Our Mini Mystery Capsules guide has been updated with this new capsule and it's bonus items.

On September 5th we posted about Invasion: Blastoids! being available to Premium users in BETA. TNT has now announced that it is the latest New Game Challenge!

Invasion: Blastoids is here and waiting along with our New Game Challenge. If you beat AAA or Abigail's scores you can earn prizes. You can also take on Lulu in the NC Challenge for an additional prize. You can buy a New Game NC Challenge Game Ticket at the NC Mall!

Our New Game Challenge guide has now been updated! We are still missing previews of the wearables though, so if you have any of those, please contact us :)

New Security feature when you visit your Account Preferences:

Login Birthday Prompt Check this box if you want to be prompted for your birthday (in addition to your password) when your account is accessed from an unfamiliar location. This is an additional security feature and is highly recommended!

For extra safety, remember to not mention your birthday on the neoboards and keep your age hidden as well (choose the option next to 'Displaying Your Age' in Site Preferences).


Edit: this feature is currently glitched! The birthday option isn't working properly, meaning if you log on on a different location, it will ask for your birthday, but not give an option to actually enter that birthday!

If you have the Birthday Prompt activated and log in and out on different computers/computers using different ip-adresses, on some of them you will not be able to log on, meaning you can be locked out of your account! We advice not to use this feature until this glitch is fixed.

Also, we recommend if you are playing Treasure Keepers on Facebook, check your facebook settings to see if you've hidden your birthday there too, or else someone with wrong inetions would be able to find your birthday following that route.

As posted in the news of September 7th, Peophins, Ruki's, Blumaroo's and Meerca's, who missed out on free training during the Krawk Island event, can get their free training today!

Now that Cap'n Threelegs is back again, he will be giving away free training to Neopets that missed free training on their days during the Krawk Island disappearance. He wanted to announce his schedule ahead of time though so that all Neopets would be able to attend. If you are a Peophin, Ruki, Blumaroo or Meerca (since you only got a half day due to a glitch), you will be able to receive free training from Cap'n Threelegs on Thursday, September 15th!

So if you own any of these Pets (free training is allowed on side accounts as well) and they are lower then level 40 (the highest level Cap'n Threelegs can teach you Pet at), head over to the Swashbuckling Academy, where Cap'n Threelegs will whip you into shape in no time at all!

A new Mystery Capsule has been released in the NC Mall, the Polka Dot Striped Mystery Capsule. This Capsule is part of The Case of the Mini Mystery Capsules event. 
Opening this capsule will give you a chance of getting Mini Polka Dot Striped Mystery Capsule.


Opening the Mini Polka Dot Striped Mystery Capsule gives you a chance of getting one of the two following bonus items: Sweet Bubble Heart Wand and Lovely Sparkling Hearts Shower. Our The Case of the Mini Mystery Capsules guide has been updated.

At the moment, there is a new event going on with the Crafting Fearie. She is giving out some new items as a reward for completing her quests. Now, for the upcoming weeks, you can get a bonus Crafting Fearie quest daily! You can do so by by visiting the Crafting Faeries workshop. If she is there, she will give you a bonus quest! (You can still recieve a regular Faerie Quest from her as a RE as well)


Our Crafting Faerie quest guide has been updated with the new items you can get for completing a quest. Some of them are Tissue Paper Gem Dress, Wood and Gems Wig and Tissue Paper Wood Wings.

Premium members can now play the new game 'Invasion: Blastoids' in beta testing. In this game, you play the Space Faerie who has to defend Neopia from incoming comets:

Comets are heading straight for Neopia. It's up to the Space Faerie to save the planet! Not to worry, though; her ship fires blastoids that obliterate the comets. It's all in a day's work for the Space Faerie. Match the blastoids in each comet with the same colours from your ship. The more blastoids you combine, the bigger the explosion! Don't wait too long; if comets get past the Space Faerie, it's the END of Neopia!

When playing the game, you'll have to destroy the incoming comets by making combo's of three or more comets, which will make them disappear. In this way, the game kinda looks somewhat like Attack of the Slorgs and Slorgs in Space.



Edit: The final clue for the Capri Sun Live Band Show has been given out. Our guide has been updated with this new clue. Those who found all instruments, were supposed to get 5,000 neopoints and an item called Simon's Band Hat. It seems this is currently glitched, for people have not been not receiving this. Most likely, this will be something TNT will fix in the next few days.

TNT is currently working on fixing the glitch affecting getting the bonus Collectible of the Wit & Wizardry set: Lennys Wand. From The Official Neopets Team Message Board:

Hey, folks. We wanted to let you know that we're aware of a glitch with the bonus item for the Wit & Wizardry NC Collectable series. We're looking into fixing the issue for new purchases as we speak. Anyone who already purchased and was/is affected will be awarded the bonus next week. (It will take a bit to make sure we get everyone so please bear with us while we sort it out.) Sorry for the inconvenience and being super lame and junk. - The Neopets Collectafail Team

Those who bought Igneots Flaming Gloves today (and also bought the 4 other NC Collectibles) are getting the bonus.


Unreleased items
On the news of September 1st we mentioned the release of the Maractite Draik Morphing Potion, we can now also announce the release of a Maractite Krawk Morphing Potion.


On September 20th it's time for the Faerie Festival. Who knows you will be able to paint your Mauket and Blugar Faerie:

It looks like TNT will be out of office for a long weekend, and they've delivered their New Features early!

There is a new Forgotten Shore Map that features in the Games Room Treasure Hunt page:

There are also some new items (with possible wearables) that could be linked to the map.

The NC Collectible for September is now available at the NC Mall. It's Igneots Flaming Gloves.

 

Right now the item is glitched and gives the error message: "Sorry, this item is not compatible with this Neopet's colour!" Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
Since it's also the last item of the Wit and Wizardry collection, the bonus item will be released soon.

With Draik Day arriving to Neopia on the 9th September, it looks like the Draik will soon be able to be morphed Maractite with the release of the Maractite Draik Morphing Potion.
