We're still bringing you all the news and as you could read a few days ago, TNT is releasing a new game named Blumaroll. According to the text on the NC Mall news (as seen below), it involves a lot of luck and will be here for a limited time only. So we'll keep you posted.

As you all know, over the past 24 hours we have been dealing with a mess of things.  We have discovered that it was one of our new staff, who we thought we could trust.  Because it was a staff member, they had access to a lot of areas, knew how things run, and were able make a mess of a number of areas.

Because of this, certain areas of the site will not be working, and other areas of the site might be slow to be updated while we work on improving our security measures and correct all the problems left behind. Meanwhile our guides will still be up and running and can be used without problems.

Thank you, everyone, so much for sticking this out with us and for all your support during this devasting blow since someone we thought we could trust was behind this attack.

The most unfortunate thing has happened. While our primary goal is to help out users such as yourself to make neopian life easier and more fun, someone else decided to try and ruin our fun. A person had managed to redirect the frontpage of SunnyNeo to a malicious site. We've tried to quickly stop our site from redirecting to this site by taking out site down completely. This is the reason why you were not able to access SunnyNeo for a while. We've done everything we possibly can to ensure that this person will no longer have the ability to make any changes on our site.

Unfortunately, this person has also taken over our twitter account. We are no longer able to access the account and prevent it from sending malicious tweets. We recommend everyone to stop following the account sunnyneocom. Also please do not click on any of the links posted by this account. They will lead to a malicious site.

We've requested Twitter to remove our account completely. During this event we've come to realise that there are serious security risks on Twitter, and that in the future we, nor any other user, will ever be able to prevent another person from accessing their twitter account. These security issues are separate from what happened at SunnyNeo but we find them very concerning nonetheless. Therefore, we have decided to permanently close our twitter account. We will no longer be offering any services in which we have to rely on the support and safety systems of others.

If you have visited the malicious site through twitter or because you were redirected from our homepage. We recommend that you scan your PC with anti-virus and anti-malware software such as Norton and Ad-Aware. Furthermore it may be a good idea to change your neopets password too. Also, a general tip on safety, Firefox has an addon called RequestPolicy which will prevent you from visiting redirected sites without your permission. We don't think that the site that was redirected to contained any malware such as cgers. It appeared to be a way to try and sell neopoints. Though, it never hurts to scan your PC to be safe.

Finally, the entire SunnyNeo staff would like to thank everyone for their massive support for the site during this event. We really appreciated the encouraging neomails and messages placed on message boards. We also would like to thank TNT for allowing us to warn all the users on the boards. We will not let this event get us down and we will continue to offer neopets help with our improved security. We are sorry for any problems that were caused.

TNT lets us know in their news that the site will be down for a large amount of time tomorrow (sunday).

NOTICE: The site will be down for maintenance on Sunday, March 27th, starting at 2AM NST. We are hoping the Maintenance Meepits will be done by 8AM NST, but it could last longer (you know how these Meepits are). Sorry for the inconvenience!

For people in Europe this means that a large part of the day, the site will be down. Please keep this in mind in regards to the Daily Dare. You will not have as much time to complete the challenge. Also keep in mind that in most European countries the clock goes forward 1 hour tomorrow as well. Which means even less time...

On February 28th we reported that it was possible to get 25 neocash (nickcash) by logging in at Monkey Quest Beta. Since it was trial NC to try out some items at Monkey Quest, it was uncertain wether any items purchased on Neopets would also disappear after the trial. We submitted a support ticket to find out more. And now.. we finally have an answer! Hurrah!

Dear anuarisa, The free NC for Monkey Quest was intended to be used for Monkey Quest. Any items you purchased on Monkey Quest with that free NC would have been deleted when the game went live last week. However, anything purchased on Neopets or Petpet Park with the free NC is not going to be removed. Hope this helps! Abbey S.

New colour! TNT have released a new Neopets colour called 8-Bit currently available for Chombies!


It appears to be a Lab Ray only colour at the moment and comes with the following clothes;

We've all been waiting for TNT to release new Gift Box Mystery Capsules. We have good news for you: the images have been found, so it won't be long before they're released at the NC Mall.

Today, several features of the Daily Dare have started. First off all, there's the Team Challenge that has started today. Challenge a friend and if you both beat either AAA or Abigail's score, you'll get a special prize!

Along with the the Team Challenge, the Staff Tournament has started as well. You can vote for the team of TNT staff members you think will do best at this weeks game.


Your first vote will also get you a special avatar! (Note: If you tried voting earlier today you may not have received the avatar, so just visit the page and you should get it now!)
