TNT posted an update on their official board:

Hey, Neopians. You've probably noticed some weirdness on the site today. We're posting to let you know it's being worked on! This has nothing to do with the little surprise we had planned for today. It's just some AWESOME timing. (That was sarcastic.) What's actually happening is a hardware issue that's affecting different things - mostly anything that's scheduled to run on a timer. (For you techies, the crons are very confused at the moment.) Restocking, Habitarium, trophies, games - if you see anything wonky, you can probably attribute it to this issue. Hooray! No, wait. The opposite of that. Booooo! We have no ETA for you at the moment. What we do know is that it's affecting sync so News may be delayed, and it might also affect the launch of our surprise, too. As soon as we have more information, we'll let you know. Thanks for being patient with us! We hope they'll have it worked out soon. - The Neopets Surprise Roo-ining Team

Daily Dare Notice - Are you ready to play some games? If you aren't, you're in luck! (See what we did there?) Daily Dare is launching on March 7th this year to make way for a surprise coming on the 28th of February (or so we hear). So gamers, you'll have an extra week to practice, if you like! And we'll see if we can pry any more information about the surprise from King Roo... did we say King Roo? Erm, well let's hope he didn't want that kept a secret, too.

Today is the last day of the Faerie quest event. If you've visited the Faerie Quests page every day for a free gift, you'll now be rewarded with a bonus item: Deluxe Dark Faerie Wings.

Note: you will get this item for visiting the Faerie quest page daily, even if you didn't do a quest every day.

Sid is available in the Battledome. If you are still looking for the sid avatar then you should head on over and challenge the punchbag bob challenger that says 100 and lose to him to get the punchbag avatar.

Note from Kendall: Sorry anyone who didn't fight sid with their active pet and therefor did not get the avatar. I was having a moment of brain slowness and thought that the bd made you fight with your active pet, like dailies automatically do active pet, and therefor didn't think to include that in the post. Sorry ;-;

Though not selling in the NC Mall yet, a preview of a new MME is already showing up there. It's name will be MiniMME9-S1: Pretty Spring Umbrella.

The bonus items for sending a sweetheart gram are currently being handed out. If you did send at least one gram during the valentines event, you'll qualify for getting a bonus item right now! There are three different bonus items, one for each different kind of gram.

We've updated our Petpet Puddle with unreleased petpet images, including two new Water Petpets, the Drugal and Juma.

For all you Uni lovers out there, we've been able to find some pieces of the new Uni clothing sets that will show up for Uni Day.

Our good friend lu over at avatarlog has whipped up a survey to see if theres any patterns concerning the new Rubbish Avatar. This week's recent editorial has in fact confirmed that it is not random, so go fill out that survey if you would like to help lu figure it out :*.

So... is the Rubbish avatar truly random when doing a certain task, or are there certain specifications that we must meet in order to get it? It's exhausting me. :( ~coastermaster392 Cleaning up Neopia is hard work! However, it's also not randomly rewarded. It may seem that way, due to the somewhat malfunctioning start that it got, but we can assure you it's not random. :) This is question 7814, archived from Editorial Issue 533.

Information regarding Premium upgrades have been discovered in the form of a Premium Portal Subscription FAQ. There appears to be a few noticable changes, which ought to make many people quite happy but, as always, with the good comes the bad. The most notable changes include :-

• Additional Message Boards
• More Monthly Neopoint Rewards
• Premium Featured Game (in addition to the regular featured game)
• Super Shop Wiz Upgrades
• On-site Random Events

And the much anticipated 5th pet slot. Yes, Premium members will be able to have a five pets! There will also be the option to pay every four months, in addition to monthly and yearly subscriptions.

Now for the bad. A few services will be removed, including Webmail, Portal and Alias/Sub-accounts. There is no given date when these changes will occur, we keep you updated on the details.

It seems we've got some complaints from the Air Faerie for not having made a lookup dedicated just to her so, we decided to grant her wish. 0:-)

On the other hand we made this autumn petpage. Many people from the southern hemisphere are getting into this season by next month. So as you can see, it doesn't matter where you are, here at SunnyNeo we always think of each one of you! *smiles*

Two new smilies are avaliable for use on the neoboards. Grarrl and Chomby fans will be very pleased to see what they are!

The new Rubbish avatar has caused quite some commotion. First the glitch, and then finding out how to actually unlock it properly. It has taken a lot of our staffmembers here at SunnyNeo two days or discarding items in order to get it. So it was time for a guide! Sadly TNT have announced in the editorial that this morning the newesh "Rubbish" Avatar was glitched and thus people have been recieving it when they shouldn't.

**Community Notice** We discovered a glitch this morning with the new avatar, which was causing it to be granted in ways that were not intended. If you got it already, no reason to worry or write in, but we have also fixed the glitch so it will no longer be given out in this unintended manner.

Those who recieved the avatar through the glitch will be able to keep it, though the rest of us will just have to work out the correct solution.

Rest assured that Sunnyneo will do our very best to bring you the correct solution as soon as possible. While you wait, why not try for some of the older avatars that can be found in our Secret Avatars Guide.

Update: it appears that people randomly have been receiving the avatar for discarding random amounts of items using quickstock. The amounts of discarded items go into thousands. We don't yet have any more details.

A free Valentine Bow Goodie Bag has just appeared at the NC Mall. If you open it you get a Box of Chocolates Hat. You can collect this goodie bag on side accounts.

Delina, the famous Dark Faerie who likes to ask you NC items for a quest, is asking for some new materials at the moment. Which means the items she gives out are new too!

It appears the Patchwork Glitter Chia Plushie is glichted at the moment and cannot be worn.

The Faries are giving out daily quest and free item from now till 24th Feburary. Refer to our Faerie Quest guide for more info on the quest type and reward each faerie gives.

It appears that neopets is currently experiencing some problems. At this moment userlookups are not working. If you are in your inventory you can also not get the item window to load to preform any actions like feeding your pet or sending a gift. Also habitarium is not working and neither are Neopian Pound transfers. The NC Mall has also stopped loading.


Update: It appears that neopets is back to normal.

The NC Mall collectible for this month will feature the The Wheel of Extravagance . The Wheel of Extravagance Collectors Shoulder Armour is now buyable at the NC Mall.

 

If you bought all five items from the current Famous Dailies NC Collectible Items series, you'll get the Deserted Tomb Entrance Collectors Background as a bonus item.
