Team Shenkuu joined in Altador Cup II to replace Team Kreludor with low expectations - then they beat Team Krawk Island to Third Place! Thus the phrase "Pulling a Shenkuu" was formed. They are a Top 4 powerhouse (but are still considered the weakest by most). They are renown as a Second Round Robin-heavy team (performance in the First Round Robin is usually inconsistent). Known for inconsistencies in performance, which tends to class them as underdogs. They are frequently underestimated because of this. Team Shenkuu have a huge fanbase. They are annually submitted to "Five Day Gauntlets" against the toughest teams in the season. (i.e. Five days of intense matches.) Officially dubbed by TNT as the "Surprising Squad From Shenkuu" given their surprise debut performance. Referred to occasionally as "ninjas" on the Neoboards. Having a fair few rivalries but maintain good sportsmanship (although this was tainted in ACV by an unforeseen stir in the fanbase). Their good relations with Team Roo Island. There was the ShenkRoo (AKA ShenRoo) alliance. In Altador Cup V friendly terms with Team Lost Desert and Darigan Citadel were established. Team Captain Mirsha Grelinek is the only female Captain to appear on the Top 3 stands (twice as well) from ACII-ACIV! Mirsha was also First Place Top Goal Scorer for TWO consecutive years (in ACIII and ACIV). Xana DiLanche is now considered as a reliable goalkeeper despite her nerves. In ACV Team Shenkuu (favoured to win) mysteriously dropped into the third tier and struggled to recover. Contentions were high amongst supporters in the First Round Robin, which were controlled in the Second Round, although the team ended up trapped in the lower brackets for most of the tournament. Aware of the "winner's curse", had Team Krawk Island managed to manipulate the 2nd-1st Place pattern to ensure that their rivals in Shenkuu suffered the main blow of the "Curse"? Captain Mirsha Grelinek remained in the Top Goal Scorers list despite this. To this day, Team Kreludor have been unable to defeat Team Shenkuu in Yooyuball, even with the significant standings gap in ACV. Deemed "favourites to win" in ACV, Shenkuu were expected to win. Instead they unexpectedly suffered the greatest fall in tournament history, including their Team Captain's Top Goal Scorer rank being abdicated from First to Fifth Place.

Led by undefeated Top Goal Scorer (ACIII-ACIV) Captain Mirsha Grelinek, Team Shenkuu are inconsistent but have the strength to overcome the hardest trials in their schedules.
